02033369091 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02033369091 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance number linked to loft insulation scams and unsolicited calls from supposed energy advisors claiming government backing. Callers frequently reference loft insulation surveys or grants, often citing outdated or unsafe materials to pressure homeowners. Despite requests to remove numbers from their lists, calls continue, even to those registered with the Telephone Preference Service. The calls are typically cold, with no messages left if unanswered, and often involve vague or evasive responses when questioned about the source of the number. Many describe the interaction as scripted, with some callers disconnecting abruptly when challenged. It is widely advised to avoid engagement, block the number, and report if possible, as the calls appear to be deceptive and for sales rather than genuine service.

Some bloke called claiming to be my local agent for an insulation grant, but he’s based in London and I live up in North Yorkshire, so that was a bit dodgy right from the start. I told him straight up I don’t do business over the phone and then ended the call. I’m on the TPS and my number isn’t listed anywhere, so no way was this a legit company.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a local energy specialist, sounded fishy so I just ended the call.

With today’s technology you can easily track where this number came from and even file a proper complaint to the service provider. So why is it that these look-up websites don’t give info on that kinda stuff??

This number called me twice. The first time it just went straight to voicemail without a message. When I picked up the second time, the bloke said he was an energy advisor for this region. I told him my number's registered with the telephone preference service, so I shouldn’t be getting calls like that. He said sorry and then said have a nice evening before hanging up.

Got three calls today from some energy advisor, all within a couple hours, asking if I'd looked into loft insulation. Couldn't get a word in, so had to block the number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a local energy company - total scam.

Got a call from someone named John saying something about saving energy. I told him exactly what I thought and then blocked his number straight away. No idea how this bloke even found my number since I’m signed up to the TPS and MPS, plus my number isn’t listed anywhere!

I reckon this could be a bit of a con.

So I got a call about my loft insulation, saying my place showed up on some MG website for having old rockwool stuff. They claimed it might lead to dampness and mould. I told them there’s no mould or damp here at all, and then they just said cheers for my time and hung up. Honestly, I’d call it a bit of a nuisance.

some bloke named john rang me up about a loft survey, pushing this new loft insulation stuff. i told him i was sick and that i live in warden controlled retirement flats. he just brushed it off and kept on going with his sales pitch. definitely came across as a cold call.

Got a call about some loft installation, and the person on the line spoke so perfectly and clearly it honestly felt like a robot. I decided to mess with him a bit and asked him to say "banana," which totally confused him and broke his flow.

I've been getting calls from the same number nearly every day, but they only switch the last number from 0 to 1. Bit odd, if you ask me!

Somebody rang me saying they were part of a government-backed group doing surveys on house insulation. They said they knew I had rockwool loft insulation and hinted it’s apparently not considered safe or up to scratch now, though I can't remember their exact phrasing. They said they were about to close their list for free checks. I told them I was busy and asked if they could send me a website to have a look at instead. Then the call just went quiet and ended suddenly.

02033 369091 - spotted the same scam but with just the last two numbers changed. Best to just not answer.

Beware of some loft insulation firms! I got called up by a company claiming they were on some official loft insulation register and offering a free check. Turned out it was just a way to push me into paying for work that wasn’t even needed. So watch out for those supposed 'official' registers - not all of them are legit!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Residential Green Standards over in SW London, saying my loft insulation was lacking and that they wanted to set up a survey. Got a call from someone saying they were John at the driveway centre, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t have the right number. Seemed like a classic sales pitch, trying to sell some sort of driveway service or product. I wasn't really interested and ended the call quickly. Bit annoying how these telemarketers keep chasing after random numbers!

Got a call from some guy claiming to be a government energy advisor talking about loft insulation. He even tried to get me to say my age, but I kept quiet. When I asked where he got my phone number from, he didn’t really explain properly. I asked for his name and a number so my husband could return the call, but he just said “have a nice day” and hung up on me. I checked the number afterwards and yep, turns out it was the same one. Total cold call.

I just let my answerphone pick up when they call, so it can record if they say anything. Problem is, these calls never come with a message. Honestly, having an answerphone is the best way to handle these types of calls.
