I asked if I could jot down a message, and the gentleman, introducing himself as Jake from APC, claimed he was reaching out regarding our washing machine's manufacturer's warranty. To my bemusement, he even mentioned our former address, which we haven't lived at for over three years! When I pointed out that the washing machine in question is actually over a decade old, he seemed rather flustered and abruptly ended the call, stating he didn't understand why he had been instructed to contact us. After doing a bit of digging, it appears this might be a dodgy scam.
