Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, and they didn't bother to leave a voicemail.

I got a call from someone called Sarah claiming to be from National Home Cover's Domestic Care Appliances. Turns out the company is real, so I'm thinking of reporting them to the TPS. However, seeing other people mention Domestic & General, I reckon she might not have been honest about her name or who she really worked for.

Was trying to sort out a warranty renewal for my cooker, washer and freezer coz it's about to expire. But the info they gave me sounded dodgy, so I just blocked the number. They ended up hanging up on me. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I'd say watch out and don't get caught up in it.

At around 5.35 in the evening, I got a call from 02033323008. The person claimed they were from Domestic and General, saying my annual insurance on my appliances had expired and that it would renew automatically. They then said if I wanted to stop it, I'd have to give my card details to cancel. When I asked which appliance they meant, there was a pause and then they said it was my washing machine. Since I don't have any insurance cover like that, I immediately realised it was a con.

I got a call about some extended warranty for home appliances, but they asked for someone I don't know. They kept bringin up Hotpoint, which I don't even own. When I told them that, they got quite irritated and said I was interrupting, which I definitely wasn't!

Got a spam call today from someone claiming my home appliance insurance had expired. They somehow had all my info and kept telling me my coverage was over. Pretty scary how much they knew!

Got a call about my appliance warranty ending soon for my fridge, cooker and washing machine. They asked if I wanted to renew it for 1 or 3 years. Thing is, I bought all these appliances at different times so their warranties aren’t synced up. I also asked which washing machine they were referring to since I recently replaced mine and wanted to check they had the correct one on their list. The person said they'd check and ring me back the next day. I’ve had calls like this before and honestly, it feels like a scam to me, 99% sure about it.

This bloke kept ringing saying my home appliance cover was about to expire, but I dont even have that. Then he tried to persuade me to take a free year plus a discounted rate for two more years, sounded alright at first. Things turned strange though when he started assuming my bank details hadn’t changed and kept pushing me to confirm them. I just said no and ended the call, then blocked the number straight away.

Received a call from someone purporting to be an insurance company for home appliances, supposedly verifying the coverage for all my household white goods. When I pressed them for details, their retort was simply to look at my bank statement, insisting that I’m already making payments to them. Oddly, they couldn't specify which appliances were under this so-called policy! I decided to cut the conversation short at that point.

It purporting to be an insurance provider for home appliances but gave off a rather dubious vibe.

This caller purports to be the insurance provider for my home appliances, which is rather puzzling as I’ve never taken out a policy for such things. Clearly, they’re attempting to pull a fast one. I’ve had a fair few similar calls recently, which only reinforces my suspicion that this is a scam in the making.

Received a call about some appliances and they were offering insurance discounts. They seemed to know my address, but I hadn’t the foggiest notion of what they were on about. Definitely a con!

I received a call from someone who inquired if I was Mrs Marley. I replied in the negative, and to my surprise, he proceeded to mention an address that I don’t recognise whatsoever. I informed him he had dialled the wrong number, after which he abruptly ended the call. This number has attempted to reach me thrice now. Sounds like a scam to me.

Received a message claiming there was a £600 transaction charged to my debit card. At this point in the month, there's no way I’ve got that sort of cash in my account. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!
