I received calls on the 16th and 17th of June, 2021, regarding the renewal of my insurance and some additional coverage from D&G. They requested my bank information, which I wisely chose not to provide. To be on the safe side, I reached out to D&G directly, and they verified that it was, in fact, a scam.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with Hotpoint, hoping to discuss extending the cover on my appliance. When I informed them that I don't possess one, they promptly disconnected. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

For years now they've been ringing me occasionally, always asking for a Mr or Mrs Lincoln, switching based on whether a lad or a lass answers the phone. Total con, they keep saying someone who used to live here signed up for appliance insurance, which is bizarre because this place is brand new. I even got a phone just to block them, but they keep calling from different numbers. These days all they get from me is me telling them off.

I told the person on the phone nicely to remove me from their list and stop ringing me. The caller, who sounded sort of American, just said, "no chance" and then ended the call. They're still ringing me up regularly.

Had a call from a woman with an Indian accent, pretending to be friendly and all chatty about renewing some appliance insurance. I just shouted at her at the top of my lungs and then slammed the phone down.

On 6th March 2021, I got a call where the person mentioned my name right but had an old address down. They wanted to sell me insurance for my kitchen gadgets yearly, but said it was really for 3 years at the price of just 2. Asked them to send something in writing, like an email or letter, but they refused to do that.

I recently received a call from this number, with the chap on the other end insisting that my Domestic and General appliances needed attention. He wouldn’t stop asking if I was a Mrs Addcock, which I certainly am not. It quickly dawned on me that this was a scam, so I've decided to block the number on my home phone. It's astonishing how daily some fraudster is attempting to reel you in.

I got a call from a company about insuring my home appliances, asking if I wanted a one year or three year plan since supposedly my cover had ended. But some of the stuff she talked about I never even bothered to insure in the first place, so no way it had expired. They already knew my name and where I lived which made it sound legit, but I’m suspicious it’s a scam. I told her to send me the info by post so I can check it properly before deciding.

SCAM ALERT! This bloke rang me up saying my appliance cover needed renewing. I played along and kept him on the line for more than three minutes before calling him out on the scam. Can you believe he actually asked me to explain what a scam was? I know one when I see it, especially since I don’t even have any appliance insurance in the first place!

13322970 - total insurance scam alert. They kept pushing me to give my full name and address, pretending they were just double checking who I was. When I asked them for their company’s location and registration number, they couldn’t answer. Honestly, anyone could find out that info about you. I told them it was the wrong number and guess what? They called me again right away!! Seems like there’s a fresh batch of these scammers around, and it might be risky for others who fall for it.

Some bloke said he was from Homecare and wanted to chat to my missus about some kitchen appliance warranty. I told him everything in the kitchen was already covered by an existing policy. Then he quickly shifted the story, talking about a washing machine instead. When I called him out for dodging the truth, he started getting all rude and annoyed. Definitely felt like a scam - no genuine caller would act like that.

Got a call from someone trying to persuade me to cut down my monthly insurance fees for appliances like my fridge and cooker, pushing me to pay annually instead. Complete nonsense. I told him I don’t have any direct debits set up, yet he kept insisting I did and that I’m overpaying. Funny, since my cooker’s been around for over 50 years! Total rubbish. 10.

I received a rather dodgy call at precisely 10:43 this morning here in Leicestershire. The line went completely silent, so I promptly blocked the number. Interestingly, I got a call from a similar number just yesterday that was all about washing machine insurance. When I probed them for more details, they hung up without so much as a goodbye! Definitely recommend blocking and reporting this number to avoid any further hassle.

I got a phone call from 02033322970 and it turned out to be a proper scam. When I tried ringing it back, all I got was a message saying "number cannot be recognised." How on earth does BT let calls from numbers they don’t even acknowledge get through to real phones? Feels like BT should be responsible for not stopping this kind of nonsense in the first place.

They claimed to have all my household gadgets wrapped up in various extended warranty schemes and were keen to provide me with a discount by consolidating them into a single plan. I received a call supposedly from Domestic & General regarding my home appliance cover, but it turned out to be a complete fiasco. The details they shared were inaccurate, and they were trying to extort money from me. Just another dodgy scam if you ask me.
