Just like what others have said, this is definitely a scam. I received a message with a code for a withdrawal and it said to call them if I hadn’t done it. I phoned them and ended up losing £150. ####

Got a call with a computer voice speaking in an American accent saying it was from British Telcommunications - never heard of that, usually its BT! The voice kept saying 'the British Telecommunications representative' without an 's', which just sounded wrong. Didn’t press any buttons like it told me to, obviously a dodgy scam. Most people would spot it straight away but older folk might get frightened or worried by it. Make sure to tell your elderly family or mates about this. Why don’t the police or authorities do something to stop scammers like these?

Phonng called claiming to be from BT and left an automated message with an American voice. The message warned that if I didn't press 1, I would be arrested. I wonder why phone companies are not taking action to disconnect these scam callers? It seems like the phone companies should know exactly who these individuals are. Additionally, why aren't the police charging these offenders for their wrongful actions?

Luckily, I was having a bath around 8.15 this morning when this call came in. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I just don’t buy that “the authorities” can’t do anything about these annoying and harassing phone calls. People are chatting on the radio about 5G and all sorts, yet we can’t fix THIS issue. It’s complete nonsense, just like our current government and the useless bunch trying to be Prime Minister right now.

Once this number rang me, i just went ahead and blocked every 02 number on my phone coz they’re mostly annoying or dodgy scams. If youve got elderly family, seriously consider getting them an iPhone - it’s way easier to set up call blocking on those and do it before something dodgy happens.

This appears to be a fraudulent scheme. I received a call from someone who spoke like an Indian or similar woman, alleging that my internet connection had been compromised and was due to be terminated. It is high time for these individuals to be exposed and prevented from engaging in unsolicited phone calls and making threats. Surely, the telephone companies should have information about their identities.

I recently received an automated call where the message was repeated when I didn't press 1. It's worth noting that this call didn't mention BT, but instead referred to "your internet provider." Got a robocall from someone saying it's 'BT' about my internet being hacked. They told me to press 1 to chat with someone, but if you don’t press 1 it says it’ll connect you but just loops the message again. It did it twice then hung up. Totally a scam! This was my second one today - the other call came from 02082761614.

Just got another call from ‘BT’ saying my internet’s about to be disconnected. The worst part is it’s a recorded message, so I can’t even tell them to buzz off properly.

Got a call from this number yesterday but no voicemail left. After seeing what people have said here, I’m gonna block it. Cheers everyone!

I opted not to pick up this call, as it had the air of a dodgy automated scam. The number was 02033322629.

I believe I've stumbled upon a dodgy operation. They've been alerting me that my BT internet connection is at risk and are pressuring me to hit a button to chat with someone. Absolute nonsense!

Got a recorded call claiming to be from 'BT' about my internet being hacked. They said press 1 to chat with someone. If you dont press 1, it just says youre being connected but then plays the same message all over again. It loops a couple of times then ends the call.

This is defo a scam. Worth mentioning, if what they're saying was right, they’d have had to break through a firewall - which means hacking, and that’s totally illegal. There’s no legit way they could’ve got in. Just tell em you’re a cybercrime specialist working for the cops. You’ll be surprised how fast they vanish.

Apologies, but could you please provide more context or clarify your statement? It seems to be incomplete or potentially contains a typo.

We received a report from someone claiming to be from BT, stating that our phone line was compromised. However, it's important to note that we haven't been using BT services for quite some time. The call came from a London number. It appears to be a scam of some sort.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from BT, tried to get into my computer, got all hostile when I called them out. They even threatened to ring Virgin and cut me off as a customer (how did they know I was with Virgin? Lucky guess?). Reported the whole thing to BT through their site, reckon everyone should do that too.

This call was a total scam, the usual trick with that number. Dont get caught out, just ignore it.

My call blocker picked up the call. They didn’t leave any voicemail, so I’ve just blacklisted the number.

Got a call from 02033322629 pretending to be B.T, said my computer was infected. Just ignore and block it! Funny thing is, if I kept ringing people with a dodgy scam number, I'd be in trouble with my phone provider pretty quick. So why do these calls keep coming through? Makes me wonder if B.T are somehow benefiting - maybe charging us extra for anti-scam services or making us anxious enough to buy their protection plans which add to our bills.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT broadband, saying my computer was infected with loads of malware. Not sure what their actual plan is, but I reckon it’s probably to get me to download their own nasty software instead.

A while back I got a call and the message on the answering machine said I had to ring them straight away or I’d get cut off from the internet. It said it was from BT, but I’m not even with BT for my internet.
