Got a dodgy call, so I blocked the number and flagged it as spam straight away.

Got a call that sounded just like others here, someone claiming to be from EE trying to get me to upgrade. They asked for my email and wanted me to spell it out, which seemed odd since surely EE would already have it on file. Then they went on to ask for my account password - absolutely no chance I gave that away. I called them out on it, told them I wasn’t convinced they were legit, and ended the call pretty quick. Definitely a scam attempt.

this lady with an indian or pakistani accent called me, claiming she needed to talk about a crash where someone supposedly hit me. i told her it was no small thing - actually, i joked that a police car chasing someone crashed into me. she hung up straight away after that. why do most of these calls come from people with indian or pakistani accents? seems a bit suspicious to me.

I got a call from a company selling auto assistance. I was trying to check on a second payout from an accident claim I made, but the weird thing is, my last accident was nearly a decade ago. What really caught my attention was that they called me by my name, which felt a bit odd.

I got caught up in this accident scam. They’re making use of didx servers to hide where the calls come from. Best thing you can do is just drag it out and waste their time. The woman at the other end was so pleased to say she’s getting paid for chatting to me, but in the end she just hung up on me. Guess she must be real proud of herself, working for crooks and scamming folk like that. What a laughable way to live.
