I had a rather strange encounter with an overseas gentleman who rang up asking for my son. The chap didn’t quite get his name down correctly and went for his middle name instead. I had to inform him that there’s no one by that name residing in my house. He offered his apologies and promptly disconnected the call. Quite peculiar, really!
