2 yearsSome woman called me, claiming I'd put in a one-time payment last December. I told her I hadn’t, she insisted I did. I just kept saying no. I asked if this was gonna mess up whatever scam she was after, and suddenly, like magic, she just ended the call. Proper ignorant behaviour.2 yearsTotal rip-off artist!Fraudster2 yearsGot a call from some Stay Safe campaign saying the books I supposedly paid for were ready now. They said I had talked to them back in November, but when I asked for a specific date, they couldn’t provide one. They kept insisting it was true, but when I pushed more, they just ended the call. I’d actually received the same call a couple of months before this as well.2 yearsI received a rather puzzling call from the so-called "Stay Safe initiative" about some books I supposedly supported, and apparently they’re ready now. Truth be told, I haven't the foggiest notion of what he was on about!2 yearsIt was a scam. They asked for the director by his name, then said he was busy on another call. When I asked for their number, they just ended the call straight away.2 yearsI answered, but nobody spoke to me, although I could faintly hear kids playing in the background. They just ended the call after a moment.2 yearsI spoke to a woman who was quite abrupt. I asked to speak to the Director, using his surname and title, but when she said he wasn’t available and asked who I was, she just replied “Alright, cheers” and ended the call. Sounds like it could have been a sales call.2 yearsI reckon this might be one of those call centres that deals with loads of different companies. In my case, they were chatting about sponsoring or advertising a pack about bullying for schools. But I’ve been caught out by a scam that was pretty much the same a couple years back. Even though this one seems a bit more subtle, I still think it’s dodgy.2 yearsI’m a bit iffy about this number. Twice now they’ve rung me but no message was left. I tried calling back and got an automated voice, but it didn’t say which company it was from and just stayed silent after a while. Seems a bit dodgy, maybe a scam? Heard some say they can rack up big fees if you stay on the line, but I’m not sure if that’s true. I’ll hang on and see if they try phoning again before I decide what to do.2 yearsThey were quite insistent on getting me to respond. Mentioned my colleagues by name and even some mobiles, but I don't know these people at all. It’s tricky to figure out if it’s genuine or just a scam.2 yearsJust got another call from the Stay Safe campaign. Been dealing with them for a bit now and can confirm they're totally legit :)Submit Your Own Report (020 3325 2660)
