Blimey, we received 15 calls from this idiot today, claiming to be from the Inland Revenue! He was after £13,000 from us, using the number 02033895123. Honestly, if I ever come across him, I’d twist him up tighter than a pretzel! Just a heads up to everyone out there-it's definitely a scam! The police have already confirmed it’s a chancer! Stay vigilant, folks!

Blimey, we've had a staggering 15 calls from this numpty today, masquerading as the tax authorities! He was after a whopping £13k from us, using the number 02033895123. Don't pick up if they say they're from HMRC, it's a total scam. They never answer back when you try calling them.

Got a call from this 02033229786, someone pretending to be from HMRC. My elderly neighbour, really scared, forwarded it to me. These scammers are just awful and seriously need to be put an end to.

I've received a couple of calls in the past couple of hours. It's just outrageous! You'd think the tax office would kindly drop a letter your way if there were any dues to clear.

I received a rather dubious voicemail earlier, purportedly from HM Customs and Excise. The message warned that something called HMRC is supposedly taking legal action against us, and urged me to press 1 to connect with a case officer. I opted not to return the call, as I'm growing increasingly frustrated with the sheer volume of these scams circulating lately. It's quite tiresome, to be honest!

It's crazy to think the Chinese actually managed to land something on the Moon's far side and send signals back to Earth. On another note, I'm really frustrated that BT doesn't seem to do anything about stopping fake or threatening calls on their network. When you get those "there's an arrest warrant for you" messages, it can be quite stressful for a moment - you start to catch on it's a con, but for elderly folks living alone, it must be terrifying. At least with us, they just left a voicemail.

There was a message left on my voicemail, and at first, I couldn’t really understand what the caller was saying. After playing it back a few times, it was clear they were saying the same kind of thing others have mentioned. Honestly, this kind of call could be really risky for people who are more vulnerable. So frustrating! 😡

Had a phone call from someone pretending to be from HMRC. They told me I had a lawsuit and there was an arrest warrant out for me. Honestly, if it were true HMRC would contact you by letter, not over the phone!

In the past couple of days, I've received two phone calls from an individual purporting to be from HMRC, insisting that I owe them some sort of tax debt. They went on to threaten that if I didn’t settle the matter and divulge my personal details, the police would be alerted to intervene and I could face court action. The numbers I got were 02033895123 and 02033227407. I’m curious if anyone else has encountered something similar to what I’ve just experienced.

So this saga isn’t over yet. The jokester called again but got suspicious when I gave him a fake postcode after I warned him a few times. His final warning was something like, "The police are coming to arrest you." Not the most believable scam, but definitely one to watch out for if you’re not careful.

Got a call again from some bloke claiming to be Peter Wilson from Inland Revenue. Funny enough, he said my address and postcode right off the bat, but other than that, he sounded pretty fake. When I started throwing a different postcode and address at him just to mess about, he quickly hung up on me.

I received a call claiming to be from the tax office saying there was a case filed against me and asked me to press 1 to get in touch with a lawyer. I hung up immediately. What a con! I'm not even a taxpayer. It's high time these sorts of scams were put to an end, as they can genuinely alarm someone unsuspecting.

I received a call that claimed to be from HMRC, but when the chap on the line requested my date of birth to verify my identity, I politely declined. In response, he threatened to involve the police and abruptly hung up. Honestly, wouldn't it be something to confront these charlatans in a proper setting? I hear the cafeteria at our local hospital serves quite splendid meals for patients!

Seriously, how can these idiots even rest at night? It’s beyond me. And why aren’t the cops or any agency stepping up to stop this nonsense? They really need to find legit work instead of messing about like this!

Got loads of scam calls since the New Year started, and this one was pretending to be HMRC, telling me to press 1 to chat to a case worker. Nobody actually picked up though, so I just messed around with the call. Just a heads up, these things are proper scams, especially dangerous for folks who might not spot it.

I received a rather alarming phone call claiming to be from the tax office, warning me that there was an arrest warrant issued in my name. They've opted for this rather threatening method of communication instead of sending official documentation, which I find quite concerning. Such tactics could genuinely unsettle anyone unsuspecting. Surely, formal correspondence would be the more sensible approach?

Got a call like that too, they claimed I owed £1980 and threatened court action if I didn’t pay up. The bloke was so rude, telling me to shut up and listen, and kept asking if I was actually at home. At the end, he told me not to ask any questions. What freaked me out was how he knew my exact address - I’m worried because he has details about where I live with my kids.
