8 yearsI got two calls from 02033227407 recently. The first one I missed but they left a voicemail claiming HMRC were in the process of getting a court order over unpaid taxes. I didn’t bother returning the call. Then today, 15th Jan 2019 at about 3.20pm, they rang again and the automated voice asked me to press 1. I ended up speaking to a guy with a foreign accent who told me not to talk over him while explaining why they were calling. He said I owed over £14,000 in tax and that legal action was underway. I told him I never got any letters about this, and he insisted that HMRC sent a registered letter that was meant to be signed for last October but apparently wasn’t collected. He gave me some reference number HM 79082. I asked him to send me an official document and then just hung up.
