Got a call from a woman with what sounded like an English Asian accent, she was really polite and said she had some internet issues. Pretty clear it was a scam tho. I told her I’m actually working alongside the police to bust phone scammers and invited her to join our team. She just ended the call after that.

Hello, this number rang my mum who’s retired (02033198355), claiming to be from BT and telling her there was an issue with her phone line and her internet was slow. She nearly fell for it and was ready to follow what they asked, but then remembered she doesn’t even have BT as a provider. It’s really worrying how convincing these calls are. When she asked to speak to my dad, the caller got quite rude. Definitely avoid answering or getting caught out by these scammers! We were lucky this time.
