I phoned the number back and got a recorded message in a bunch of different languages saying the number was disconnected because of some dodgy stuff. I only tried calling back since I’ve got a hotel booking in London and figured they might be ringing about my reservation.

This number has rung me six times now and I’m honestly fed up with all the calls. On the 22nd of November 2023, I got two calls, then again two more came through the next day, the 23rd. I also received one call on the 24th and another one on Monday the 27th. I never picked up any of them and don’t plan to either. I only entered the word search competition after receiving a letter through the post. But with all the scams floating about these days, I refuse to answer calls from unknown numbers. It’s really frustrating getting treated like this just for joining an ITV competition.

Beware of the Wordsearch TV ad con!
Avoid shelling out any cash for postage on those so-called free gifts.
They will end up charging your card regularly, month after month.

I took part in one of those word search contests on telly, then this number started calling. They claimed I’d won some lottery tickets and other prizes but I didn’t give out any bank info and just ended the call. They kept saying I'd still be in with a chance and that the draw was on 3rd December. They've even sent me letters through the post as well.

Then they asked for £1.99 for postage, which I wasn’t having, so I hung up. Does anyone know where I can report this nonsense?

Got a call about paying for the delivery of some “prizes” and they wanted my bank card info over the phone. Definitely a scam. Looks like ITV might’ve leaked our data or got hacked - either way, that’s a serious breach of GDPR. They really need to answer for this.

I also took part in a word search thing through ITV and since then, for the last week, I've been getting calls non-stop from +44 20 33185616. The caller kept asking me to pay some postage fee for a prize they said I’d won. It’s the same as what others have said here. Why on earth is ITV linked to this outfit? I took part in a competition for the TV Wordsearch, and recently received a certificate confirming my inclusion in the prize draw shortlist. To my surprise, I received a phone call this morning informing me that I’ve progressed further and I’m now in contention for the £10,000 prize. It all seemed legitimate at first, but then they requested my bank details to set up a subscription. They only asked for the long card number and the expiration date, but firmly advised me against providing the last three digits of my security code.

this lady rang up saying my missus was entered in some competition for £20,000 and had won a puzzle book, but asked for a £1 postage fee over the phone. my missus said no thanks and then the woman just said she wouldn't send the book and hung up on us.
