Got a call from a London number the other day, and when I picked up, some bloke with an Indian accent said he was ringing about an accident claim - didn’t catch the company’s name though. Told him to piss off straight away and he just hung up. Honestly, these scammers are only after your money and can get lost as far as I’m concerned. If more people gave them a proper earful like I do, maybe they’d think twice before working for these dodgy firms. Never hold back - give these scammers a piece of your mind!

Got a call from a London number the other day, and when I picked up, some bloke with an Indian accent claimed he was ringing from a firm dealing with accident claims. Didn’t catch his name though. Told him to get lost in no uncertain terms and he just hung up. I always give these tossers a bit of aggro, they’re just out to con you and deserve every bit of it. If enough folks gave them a hard time, maybe these mugs wouldn’t bother working for these dodgy scam companies at all. Never be shy to give scammers a good verbal smackdown!

I keep getting calls each day from loads of different numbers. Does anyone know how I can put an end to this? I'm even thinking about taking legal action against them.

Like a bunch of others, I popped an ad up on Gumtree. Within a few hours, this number rang me but I didn’t pick up and they didn’t bother to leave any voicemail or text. Got curious so I looked up the number here and it turns out loads of people have the same issue, especially related to Gumtree adverts. Best thing is just to give it a miss.

Today this company kept ringing me up like 5 times just to ask about some accident?? Really pushy bunch... The bloke had an Asian accent too.

I got a call from this number just as I was putting up ads on Gumtree. It rang through to voicemail before I could pick up, but they didn’t bother leaving any message. I ended up blocking them, which is a relief since my blocked list is pretty huge now. Honestly, having that block feature on a phone is a lifesaver.

It’s crazy how many folks mention this dodgy number ringing them after posting an ad on Gumtree. Same thing happened to me back on 7th March 2018. The call went straight to voicemail but no message was left. After that, I just blocked the number and haven’t heard from them again.

Then they tried naming the car’s make and model - turns out it was one I’d just sold on Gumtree a little while ago. You can guess how I responded after that!

These lot kept ringing me insisting I’d been in some accident in the past three years, which is complete rubbish since I’ve never had one. When I asked them to clarify which accident, they just couldn’t give me any details. I decided to humour their scam for a bit and then got asked why I was bothering them. They proceeded to tell me to F Off three times before hanging up on me. Ridiculous! I never even called them first, so who’s really wasting whose time here?
