What a nuisance these cold callers are! I've got my name all over the Telephone Preference Service, so they shouldn’t even be bothering me. Honestly, as soon as I realise it’s one of those dodgy sales pitches, I just hang up. Sometimes I like to have a bit of fun and say, "Hold on, someone is at the door!" then I leave the phone sitting there until they get fed up and hang up themselves. Utterly pointless!

I asked where they got my details from, and they claimed it was my insurance provider. I told them I had no idea how that could be, since I’ve never had an accident and neither has anyone I know. Then they asked if I was really sure. I responded that what I was sure about was that they were running a scam, told them not to call again, and that I’d be reporting them. Almost immediately after, the line just cut off.
