Got a call today that looked like it came from a Lloyds Bank mobile, but I didn’t bother listening to much of what they had to say and just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a woman who wanted to know if I'd had any car crashes in the past three years. When I asked where she got my phone number from, especially since I'm listed on the telephone preference service and not in any directory, she just cut me off. I've now blocked the number. More annoying cold calls like this!

I’ve just encountered a similar situation myself. A lady called, probing whether I had been part of a small crash. Upon my response of ‘no,’ she inquired if I was the sole driver at my residence. I clarified that I wasn’t, and neither of us had faced any mishaps. She then remarked on how odd it was, as her records indicated I had been in an incident, and promptly ended the call. I've since blocked the number for good measure.

Received a rather peculiar phone call earlier on my mobile, which is enrolled with the TPS. The caller was inquiring whether I'd had a car accident in the past two years. I pressed her repeatedly about how she had obtained my number, and quite abruptly, she terminated the call. It's worth mentioning, I don't even possess a car! How bizarre!

I received a call from someone claiming that I had been in a car accident within the past two years and they wanted me to verify that information. When I pressed her for details about this supposed accident, she merely reiterated that I was involved and needed my confirmation. I inquired once more about the specifics, and then she abruptly disconnected the call. Quite bizarre, really!

I just received a rather infuriating phone call as well. The caller informed me that, based on some dodgy accident statistics, I had supposedly been involved in an accident that wasn't my fault within the last two or three years. When I requested her to promptly delete my number from her records, she stubbornly pressed me for confirmation regarding whether this was true. I firmly insisted that I wouldn't confirm anything and reiterated my demand for my number to be removed posthaste. She then had the audacity to say, "Well, that's peculiar, as our records indicate you were involved," which was the final straw. I hung up in sheer frustration! If it hadn’t been for my job, I would have probed further, as these unsolicited calls are utterly maddening!

Blimey, I had a nearly identical encounter just moments ago and I must say, I was utterly taken aback. It's a relief to come across this discussion! If only there was a means to stop this nonsense or to track down those accountable, as it's downright unacceptable.

It's ridiculous that these idiots keep getting away with pestering folks like this, especially when the papers and telly have been full of it for ages. But of course, the Tory lot couldn’t care less about everyday people! That’s the cold hard truth. Instead of David Cameron wasting his time on silly scandals, he should be worrying about the mess his government is dragging the country into. Utter disgrace, Cameron, Osborne, IDS, you lot are a bloody joke!

A lady named Makita Macfarlane rang me up, saying she was from some action claims bureau, telling me I’d supposedly been in an accident. What a waste of my time! There are honest firms, usually specialist lawyers, who properly deal with compensation for real injuries. Places like this should get fined and stopped from doing business altogether.

He called me from something called "Action Claims Bureau" which honestly sounded made-up. I asked straight away who exactly worked for this company, but they just pushed on with their spiel without answering. When I asked again, the line just got cut off. I've gone ahead and reported them to the Information Commissioner's Office. Really hoping some stricter measures are finally put in place against these types of firms.

Received a call with no one on the line-classic case of their automated dialling system running amok, I imagine. It's as if they're just churning through numbers to squeeze out as many calls as possible. A quick look-up here reveals it's definitely not someone I'd like to engage with. Now they'll be met with a lovely 'number unobtainable' tone. Quite pitiful, to be honest...

Got a call outta the blue saying I’d been in an accident sometime in the past three years. Absolutely not true! Ended the call straight away and blocked the number. And to the person saying it’s the Tory government’s fault for these calls - what a joke! No matter who’s running the country, they’ve got way bigger things to sort than these scammy phone calls. People just gotta be smarter and hang up!

First off, they had the audacity to ring me up regarding a car crash that I wasn’t even responsible for - how cheeky! To put it plainly, don’t bother picking up the phone, just block the number outright. Honestly, I wish these types of folk would just disappear already!

Utterly disgraceful behaviour! They chose to ring during a solemn two minutes of silence dedicated to our brave fallen heroes. It's infuriating that there's no way to identify these miscreants so that one might raise a complaint.

Just got a call from these lot, saying they're with the National Road Traffic Investigation team. Then they started telling me to say I was feeling aches from a minor crash I had last week. Said I'd be entitled to compensation even if I didn’t have any proof. Whenever I asked if they were a private firm, they kept saying no, they’re part of the RTI. Felt really dodgy to me.

Complete morons! Got a call claiming I’d been in a car crash with a vehicle they said was mine - but I don’t even have a car! I told them I’m only 14, so no way I could own one. Then she tried saying someone else at my house was involved. I had to tell her that’s strange cause I’m actually stuck in a youth detention centre. After she kept throwing the same scripted questions, expecting me to admit someone here got hurt, I just clammed up. There was this awkward silence and I finally asked what name she was hunting for, and before I knew it, she just hung up!

This morning, I received a call from 02033184845. I picked up, but there was silence on the line, so I ended the call. I really wish there was a way to tackle this bothersome caller! It's completely maddening and it's certainly causing a real stir among everyone!

My phone went off, and when I picked it up, there was an awkward silence before they disconnected the call. I attempted to reach them again, but oddly enough, the number seemed invalid. These people ought to be reported... though I reckon that would be futile since no one seems to take action!

I recently received a rather peculiar phone call from a lady named Nikita MacFarlane. She claimed to have records indicating that I had been involved in a car accident that was apparently not my fault. The thing is, I don’t even own a car and I've never been in any sort of accident! When I informed her of this and requested that she erase my information from her files, she abruptly ended the call without so much as a word. Quite baffling, really!

I managed to dodge a call after a swift search for the number led me to this forum. Cheers!

I received a call just when I was waiting for the plumber to turn up, so I figured I’d pick it up. The caller claimed I’d been involved in a car crash that I had nothing to do with, which completely puzzled me. They then went on to ask if I could verify whether I had been in an accident that wasn't my fault within the past two years. It dawned on me that it was likely one of those dodgy sales calls or possibly a scam, so I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up. This site has really helped me confirm my suspicions.

Picked up the phone and encountered a brief silence before someone began speaking about an incident. I was taken aback and asked them what accident they were referring to, then promptly ended the call and added the number to my block list on my iPhone.

Got a lively lady on the phone claiming I'd been in an accident recently. I told her not once but twice that I’m signed up with the TPS, and then she just ended the call.

Called me yesterday, but refused to identify themselves and dodged my questions. I made it clear that I wasn’t keen to engage unless they revealed who they were. Lo and behold, they rang me again today. I reiterated my stance, saying I didn’t want any more calls. The chap on the line asked me to hold on and kept trying to push the conversation. I firmly stated my disinterest and requested to be removed from their calling list. He persisted, telling me to hang on. I warned him that if he didn’t respect my wishes, I’d report him, to which he retorted I should be quiet for a moment, claiming that if I hung up, he would persist with the calls until I listened. I ended the call and promptly blocked the number. If you’re going to try scamming folk, at least do it properly! Clueless!

I picked up the phone, only to be met with an awkward silence that lasted a whole ten seconds before they decided to disconnect without uttering a word. Hardly a minute later, my phone buzzed again with the same number, and, to my astonishment, they repeated the performance-silence once more!

It’s infuriating! I receive these calls no less than once a week. So annoying!!

They suggested that I'd been involved in an accident in the past couple of years. In reality, that's not the case at all. They claimed to have got my number from a so-called road traffic accident centre, which feels quite dodgy. I'm starting to wonder if they've crossed the line in terms of data protection laws.

Terrible experience. They keep calling my mum on her mobile while she's at work, and what's worse is they're going after vulnerable folks who've been in accidents, trying to fish out their private info. Thankfully, I managed to warn her in time before they could. Absolute disgrace, Action Claims Bureau.

Got a call on my mobile from a bloke who wanted to talk about a Road Traffic Accident. He then asked if I’d been in one, I told him no and asked how he got my number. He quickly said something like “alright, we won’t call you again” and hung up before I could say anything further!

I just received a call from this number, but I chose not to pick up since I was busy browsing online. Out of curiosity, I decided to look it up while it was still ringing. I’m grateful for this site, as it clarified that it was merely a nuisance call. Although I’ve signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, these calls keep coming. It really makes one wonder why nothing seems to be done about it!

They suggested I’d been involved in a car crash that wasn’t my doing. I took a moment before responding. I clarified that I don’t even possess a car. After that, I simply ended the call.

This number keeps ringing me about every week. They always go on about, "We've been informed you had an accident in the last couple of years, yawn yawn."
So I just hang up!

It's baffling how these muppets manage to obtain your number! Honestly, they should really consider finding a legitimate job instead of peddling their dodgy schemes. The woman on the line seemed pleasant enough; perhaps she'd be better off pursuing an entirely different career rather than aligning herself with such unsavoury characters!

Received a call from this number, but I didn't answer as I suspected it wasn't anything urgent. The phone rang again shortly afterwards, which I again chose to ignore. If it were a matter of significance, surely they would have left a voicemail, wouldn't they? I'm grateful for this service; it reassures me that my instincts were spot on by not engaging with them. Cheers!

Really frustrating experience with this number. A man with an Indian accent contacted me, claiming to represent Action Claims Bureau. When I questioned him about where he got my phone number from, he just ended the call straight away.

I picked up the call, but all they did was hang up on me. This leads me to believe it's some sort of automated calling system. They seem to connect to whoever picks up first and then disconnect the rest of the calls. Quite frustrating, really!

A bloke called me up inquiring if I’d had a wee mishap lately, which is amusing because I actually have! So, I shot back with, “Do you even know who I am?” Subsequently, he disconnected without another word. What a right numpty!

So weird, they actually called me by my name and claimed they knew I'd been in a car crash - which I hadn't! I got pretty angry and yelled at them. Might just start carrying a whistle to scare these lot off.

I’ve received a couple of phone calls from this outfit lately, insisting they’d been informed about an accident I’d had or that my vehicle had suffered some damage. The thing is, I don’t even drive! They were quite insistent, and I simply can’t fathom how they acquired my number. In the end, I chose to hang up on them.

Someone called asking if I’d been in a crash in the past couple of days. When I tried to ask where they got that info from, they just kept going over the same question. They wouldn’t tell me their name and then just ended the call. I reckon this kind of call might scare people who’re more vulnerable.

I've received three calls from them today alone. Each time I inquired about how they obtained my number, they abruptly hung up on me. So, I decided to let it ring through to voicemail, and now I've been inundated with 15 voicemails from the same company, but they keep changing their numbers! It's quite baffling, really.
