Just got a call from this lot and thought I’d check them out. At first, the bloke asked about my pension, speaking in what seemed like an Indian accent. Then he tried saying he needed to fix my Windows settings. When I refused to share any info, he got a bit annoyed and then said his call was about my gas and electric. I asked who he actually worked for and he muttered something like "Ofcom". I asked him to spell it, and then nothing, just silence. When I told him I knew it was a scam and he was wasting his time, he quickly hung up!

This has something to do with the KODI streaming boxes you can get for watching stuff online. If you've got one, or bought one before, they actually put malware on these devices to find out your phone number. Then they ring you up with some made-up tale about a problem with another computer you own, like saying you have a "windows PC error" or something like that. It's all just to trick you into trusting them and hopefully get you to pay for a fake fix with your credit card...
