A guy with a thick foreign accent rang me up claiming to be from some dodgy forex brokerage. He couldn't speak much English and wrongly called me by a name that isn’t mine. When I corrected him, he accused me of lying. I asked where he got my number from, and he insisted I’d registered with their brokerage a while ago - which I absolutely haven't. I told him it’s obvious they bought my details from another firm, but he just called me a liar again. I work in finance, so I’m well aware how these leads get passed around. It’s disgusting how they target vulnerable people, particularly the elderly, to scam them out of their money then vanish. Total scumbags.
