I phoned up to sign up the warranty on a fridge I bought not long ago. I made it clear on the call that I didn’t want any marketing calls from them. But less than half an hour later, they rang me again to push an extended warranty. I’ve now reported this to the ICO. Honestly, I’d suggest everyone else does the same. It’s only when the authorities step in that companies will actually stop bombarding us with these annoying calls.

Just like last time, I signed up my new cooker with D&G. Less than 30 mins later my phone was buzzing - I didn’t pick up but honestly, the government really needs to do something about this. Feels like D&G needs reporting for this kind of pestering. I clearly asked them not to share my info too!

I noticed a lot of people saying the same thing. I recently signed up a Zanussi product and specifically asked them not to ring or email me, but I still got a call less than an hour later. This kind of thing is really unfair and should be stopped right away.

I’m lodging a complaint regarding this phone number. When I reached out to D&G to register my extractor hood for its warranty, I made it quite clear to the customer service rep, Ben, that I didn’t want my contact information used for anything beyond essential notifications. He assured me that my details would solely be used to arrange repairs or inform me about any product recalls. Fast forward just one hour, and I received a call from this number. Not recognising it, I decided against answering. It’s absolutely disgraceful that such unwanted cold calls persist. I’m utterly disheartened and will definitely steer clear of D&G moving forward, as well as advising others to do the same. What a ridiculous situation!

I'm in the same boat as quite a few others here. I had a chat with D&G, made it perfectly clear that I did not want to receive any marketing calls. The chap on the line, Ben, gave me his word that they would only reach out to discuss repairs or alert me about any product issues. Yet, no more than an hour later, I received a call from this number. Decided to let it ring out.

Yeah, it's definitely Domestic and General messing with phone calls. I had clearly said I wanted them to reach me by email only. Even worse, instead of ringing my home or mobile they've got on record, they called back the work number I used to get in touch with them. Really annoying.

Got a call from this number less than 5 minutes after signing up my AEG device using the free number they gave me with it. It was 9 at night - way too late for anything but personal stuff! It showed up as maybe a scam so I let it ring. Seems like they’re sharing our info around without asking us first, which I definitely never agreed to.

I've experienced something similar! I contacted Hoover and opted out of all their marketing calls. I also dialled the number back, and an automated recording informed me that it was D&G reaching out for my thoughts on the service I received from Hoover.

You won’t believe it, I just phoned d&g to sign up my new freezer warranty as well. Asked them to contact me only by email, and so what happens? Got a call straight after. Didn’t pick up though, I never do if it’s not someone saved on my phone. Of course, they left no voicemail. Shocking, right?

I missed the call but after seeing what people have said here, I’m pretty sure it was d&g. I called them recently to cancel my warranty and when they asked if I preferred to be reached by phone or email, I told them just email. Looks like they’re still trying to get in touch by phone like with everyone else.

About an hour back I phoned to sign up my new tumble. Chose email only for contact but then this number rings me......... I don't pick up calls from unknown numbers, if it's something important they'll leave a voicemail. These ones didn't bother!

Less than an hour after I signed up my fridge freezer warranty and made it clear I didn’t want any calls (the rep promised I wouldn’t get any), this number rang my landline - even though I’m on the TPS! I suppose there’s not much to be done about calls from India, but it’s frustrating that TPS seems useless against stuff like this. I told the caller I’ve already purchased what I need, but apparently, some people don’t take a hint very well.

I had a policy for a washing machine that packed up and got replaced, so I cancelled it since I didn’t need the cover anymore. Out of the blue, they called me back pushing some fancy 10-year plan for the new machine, going on about how accidental damage isn’t included and all that sales talk. I told them not to call me again, but less than an hour later, my phone was ringing nonstop! So yeah, straight to BLOCK.
