I received a rather dubious call claiming my computer was locked due to some sort of security breach. The callers, purporting to be from Microsoft, insisted that I needed to pay for a security programme. They initially offered me two price points, either £399 or £499, which was baffling enough. When I mentioned my status as a pensioner, they suddenly reduced the amount to a more 'affordable' £150, but only if I used Google Play gift cards as payment. Obviously, I told them to do one! They ended up getting nothing from me!
