Received a phone call on my mobile earlier today, 21st September 2023, from an unfamiliar number. The caller inquired if I was Mrs R... S... which, for the record, I am not. As soon as I pressed for details on how they obtained my number, they abruptly disconnected the call! Quite a peculiar encounter, to say the least!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent, sounded familiar actually, saying I’d signed up for a EuroMillions draw a few months back like 3 to 6 months ago. She told me I’d won ten free entries for the next week’s draw and that I’d basically agreed to keep joining future draws for a cheaper subscription fee. Didn’t bother listening much and ended the call right away.

I just told them to jog on and called them idiots, no need to confirm anything. One of those muppets got really annoyed when I told them where to stick their call. Total scam, beware!

Got a call from someone claiming it was the National Lottery and Tesco had teamed up for a competition. They told me I’d won some kind of National Lottery vouchers or something like that. Since I never enter those online competitions, I instantly guessed it was a scam. Pretty obvious!

I got a call telling me I’d won some Euros Millions tickets and shopping vouchers, they even had my old address and loads of my info. But as soon as I asked about my email address, they just hung up on me. Felt really dodgy to be honest.

Some bloke rang up sayin I’d got 10 extra entries for the EuroMillions draw tonight cause I’d signed up through Tesco or summat. As he was going on, I quickly looked up the number online and found loads of people saying it was used for pestering calls. So I just told him to jog on and hung up before he could start spouting any more nonsense. Didn’t even bother listening to whatever personal stuff he might’ve had on me.

Personally, I always ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise. If it’s something important, they’ll just leave a voicemail anyway.

Nowadays I just ignore my phone cos it's a proper pain, especially since it’s for work. I always have to come on here first to figure out who it is, then if it seems important I ring back.
