Got a call from someone saying they were security from Hammersmith Hospital, saying my brother was there. Checked with him as he lives far away and he wasn’t there. Seemed odd as well cause would security even call, wouldn’t it be someone from the nursing staff? If it was honest and just a mix up with someone else’s brother, still feels a bit fishy.

got loads of calls from this number this mornin. it said sumthing like "missed call alert, free call alert from 02. to stop dial 901, press # then option 5 and 5°." after the last call i dialled 901 and got a message about changin my pin or code which i never did and then it hung up quick. bit worried that 901 might be a premium rate number.

This number rang me on my phone, and the caller claimed to be from the Romanian embassy, trying to get info on a patient. I didn’t respond to her questions at all and instead asked where she got my phone number from. She said she found it on Google. I felt something was off and tried pressing for more info on how exactly she got hold of my number. But all she kept repeating was that it was through Google. Then she asked for an email address to contact the hospital, but I told her to look it up herself online as I couldn’t assist her. I made sure not to give out any of my personal info.

total scam! someone must've stolen personal info, they knew names and stuff from years ago about medical stuff. supposedly they couldn't get hold of my relative on their landline in an emergency, so they rang me asking to call back on another number and give more details once i had them. i asked for their name and who i'd be speaking to later, but they just didn’t reply. they told me to keep calling a different number for all future info about the patient, which was 03089675400. that number never picked up once.

Bit of a dodgy situation! Someone pretending to be from a medical service rang me with details about my family, stuff that only someone close would know, even things going back over a year. I live miles away from them, so it raised red flags straight away. They said it was urgent but got the date wrong by quite a bit. They told me they couldn't reach my relative on their landline so they rang me instead, asking me to call back another number and share more info once I found out more. When I asked for their name or who I was meant to be talking to in future, they clammed up. Tried ringing the other number later, 03089675400, but no reply. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

I’ve received repeated calls from this number, but the call cuts off once the true call message comes on. When I called them back, a pre-recorded voice mentioned it’s Thames Net and said you need to enter an extension because the line serves various offices around London and Surrey. The message also told me to hang on until they try calling me once more.

Next time, they did leave a message - it was from the NHS, specifically Hammersmith Hospital. They were talking about appointments, test results, or consultations. For me it’s pretty simple, but I can understand the problems when calls get missed. Also, like one person mentioned, sometimes the system calls folks with hearing difficulties even though the hospital ought to be aware of that. It can be a bit awkward.

I got a call from this number on my phone but missed it. When I tried ringing back, BT's automated message said I couldn't because the caller ID wasn’t recognised. Got a call earlier from an Asian woman claiming to be with the NHS. She asked if my name was real and mentioned my birthday was in the 40s, which is definitely not right. I just ended the call straight away. Not long ago, an Asian bloke called asking for my debit card expiry date - let's just say I wasn’t very polite in response. I’ve finally decided to get a BT phone to block all these annoying calls. Shame the police can’t seem to do anything about this nonsense.
