This number has rung me three times today. The bloke on the other end, who sounded Asian and gave his name as Jasbro, kept going on about some problems with my computer. He wanted me to log in or something, which I refused. Even after I said no, he carried on pushing it. I told him over and over to stop ringing me, then he just hung up. All these comments are kind of useful but they don't actually fix the issue. I mean, phone providers can stop you from making calls abroad, right? So why can't they just block calls coming in from other countries? The TPS doesn't help anymore since most of these calls come from overseas. Honestly, telecom firms need to get their act together. Whoever manages to crack this first will definitely attract loads of new users!!!

These so-called 'friendly' folks want to get into your computer and chuck viruses all over it, so watch out. Would be great to pay them back by knackerin their gear. Got a call from a male Asian guy asking if I’d been in any accidents over the past two years. I said no and told him to take me off their list, then hung up. But just two minutes later, the same bloke called again asking the same questions. I gave the same answer and again told him to remove my details. Without even hanging up, he immediately started asking the questions again! Very annoying stuff.

i get calls around 3 times every week, always with an indian accent and the names they use are weird like barbara, susan, harry, bob haha. today i decided to answer in my creepiest gremlin voice and muttered some spooky stuff in the quiet moments. i honestly think i freaked susan out cause she sounded really shaken and hung up fast. had a good laugh about that.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from Microsoft. I went full on and told him, "Wow! Finally, I’ve been hoping you’d ring back! I’m desperate for some help cleaning all the viruses off my laptop. I’ve got my IP, passwords, even my card details on hand ya know. Actually, I’m willing to give you my whole computer if you just sort it for me." Oddly enough, he just hung up straight away!

Just a heads up! Don’t give in to cursing at these callers because they’ll just keep ringing with silent calls! Sometimes they get really rude and argumentative too. This number rings me multiple times a week, always someone with an Asian accent but English names. My last caller introduced himself as Rupert! I’m proper sick of it and annoyed I have to pay BT for Caller ID, but I’m going to do it anyway and get one of those phones that block calls. Maybe even a whistle or a loud horn would do the trick!

I fell for it too, thought the guy was legit at first. Then he handed me over to another bloke with a thick Indian accent, said he was a senior tech or something. You could hear a buzzing call centre in the background. I let them have remote access but soon got uneasy and asked if they’d ring back when my partner got in. I quickly deleted what I’d downloaded and immediately set up bank security on my laptop. Was proper worried they might drain my partner’s account. Really appreciate everyone sharing their stories, makes me more cautious about these dodgy calls.

Then she asked if I owned a laptop, to which I said no. She pushed further, "Really nothing?" I said no again. She went "Oh my goodness!" and just hung up on me!

Fatladonamotorbike Rang 12/09/2015 at 15:20, spoke nonstop in some weird foreign accent, I just kept going “yeah” every time he stopped for a breath. After a while he probably twigged I wasn’t paying attention and just hung up. Bit sad really, I was hoping to break my own record of keeping them on the line, which is 18.32 seconds. Got a call this morning from someone saying my computer was running slow and they could sort it out. They asked me to hit the Windows key and R, then wanted to know what popped up on the screen. 02033114151 rang me twice in a row within a couple of minutes. Some annoying bloke, sounded Asian, asking to speak to my 70+ year old parent who’s partially deaf and disabled. I asked what he wanted and he just hung up. When he called again, same request, so I told him no and slammed the phone down. I’m really fed up with this. We get these calls non-stop every single day. If it’s not about the computer, it’s some pointless survey, and most of the time they just hang up before you can say anything. Such a waste of time.

Got a bloke from India on the line saying he could sort out some nasty software problems on my computer. Asked him to send me an email, but he said he couldn’t. Then I asked for his name and a number I could call back on. That’s when I twigged it was a scam and had to look up the number online. Told him I’d be ending the call and warned him not to ring anyone else.

Got a call from this number today, some bloke claiming to be from the refund team of a loan company. He said I’m entitled to a £1,500 refund plus £3,000 compensation. I knew straight away that’s rubbish since I’ve never taken out any loan. He sounded convincing, saying the loan company gave him my details, but it was obvious he was fishing for my bank info. Loads of people have had loans before, so just be careful with calls like this.

Got a couple of calls from an Asian lady, first she claimed to be from Microsoft, then later said she was tech support. I told her I use a Mac, but she insisted Apple devices run on Windows, haha. These scammers want you to install some "security scanner," which is really just a way for them to hack your computer, get your bank info, and then charge you for fake viruses they put there. Stay clear of them and like me, make sure to report these scammers to OnlineFraud.

I was having an issue with my laptop, and when I got a call about it, I thought it was legit. Thankfully, my partner told me to hold on and showed me this site explaining how these scammers pretend to fix your computer but actually get access to your main account and everything on it. I was about to let them in before he stopped me. I felt so anxious and close to being tricked. After learning what they do - get into your bank, PayPal and all sorts - I feel pretty daft for almost falling for it. Won't be making that mistake again.

Today, on August 23, 2015, my phone buzzed and just as I picked up, the caller hung up. No voicemail was left behind, but BT's 1471 showed the number as 02033114151 - whether that's genuine or not, who can say. Honestly, it felt like just another annoying call - normally, a proper call would drop a quick message.

I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was from some technical support team. He said my laptop had picked up dodgy software and I needed to log in straight away. I wasn't having any of it and just told him to shove off.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from Windows Technical Support. She told me my laptop was sending error messages and said it was full of viruses. Pretty clear it was just a scam trying to trick me into installing dodgy software or handing over private info.

This afternoon, I got a call from this number, they claimed to be talking to someone called Sharon, but honestly, she couldn’t have been Sharon - not any more than I’m a Mohammed. Apparently, she said she was from Microsoft and there was some issue with my PC. I calmly told her she wasn’t from Microsoft at all and suggested she was just trying to scam me and potentially hack my computer if I gave out any info. She insisted, "No, you don’t get it, there really is a problem with your computer." I told her I understood perfectly, especially since I don’t even own a computer. After that, she quickly ended the call.
