Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from HMRC, saying I’d be arrested for tax fraud unless I pressed 1. Honestly, it was pretty disturbing.

Got a couple of missed calls from that number but when I tried calling back, it just wouldn’t pick up. Seems pretty sketchy, I’d just block it straight away.

I got a call from 02038026763 claiming they were from some call preferences service. They started asking about my bank direct payments which made me suspicious, so I just hung up. Then I told my husband about it and right after that, they rang again because I’d cut them off. My husband wasn’t having any of it and told them to leave us alone.

Non stop ringing, honestly how many times do they think I'll answer? 8 calls already and still going!

In just one day, I got six calls from the same number. Finally picked up on the last one. It was a guy with an Asian accent claiming he could help me block spam calls (as if!). I let him go on, saying it wouldn’t cost a thing, then suddenly he starts talking about my bank card for phone payments being out of date. Yeah, sure. I wasn't having any of it, told him what I honestly thought, and slammed the phone down!

They call maybe 3 or 4 times each day but there's never anyone when I pick up! Really gets on my nerves!

This number, 020 3302 9962, rang me back to back twice and since my number’s meant to be private, I didn’t answer. I didn’t know who it was, so I looked it up here and turns out it’s linked with dodgy activity. I’m definitely putting it on my block list now.

Got three calls from this number today, but never picked up when I answered. Blocked it straight away!

So I got three calls this evening, and guess what? The final one claimed to be from some "telephone preference service" checking if I’m still receiving marketing calls! It’s ridiculous - you try to block them, but they won’t stop talking and just keep pushing their own services. Can’t escape it!

Told him I was armed and knew his address, then he just ended the call. Honestly, if the police showed up, that’d be a right laugh.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the Telephone Anti Harassment Service. They asked for my name and address and then tried to get me to pay something. I just told them to shove off and ended the call. Total scam.

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming he was with the Telephone Preference Service, said I'd basically stop getting nuisance calls for good. Then he asked to verify some info, but I just told him straight up it was a scam and wondered how he even thinks that’s alright. After that, I just cut the call.

They called asking for the previous occupant by their name, but as soon as I told them they had the wrong person, they just hung up. Seems like it could be some kind of scam or another dodgy caller, based on the number of times they’ve rung my landline about that same individual before.

Got a bunch of calls yesterday and three more this morning! The caller said they were from BT - wonder if there's a way to block these annoying calls for good? I played along for a bit. The bloke insisted he had my name and address, then asked me for my card expiry date! Afterwards, he wanted my phone number too, and that’s when I told him if he was so clever, he’d already have it! That annoyed him, and I just hung up. Obviously, it was a scam. The numbers used were 01099722392, 02033029962, plus an international number with 020330 shown below it.

got a call from someone saying they were from the “telephone preference service”. everyone knows that service is free and i’m already registered with them. if anyone tries to say your membership needs renewing or asks you to pay for tps, it’s a scam for sure. i told the bloke, who had an asian accent, that i knew this was rubbish but he just kept interrupting and using my name. in the end, i just blocked the call and ended it.
