Today, I received a rather unsettling call from an individual who seemed to have a thick accent, possibly Indian or Pakistani, and his command of English was rather limited. He claimed to be associated with HMRC, insisting that I was in some sort of dire trouble over tax evasion. When I mentioned that I’m just a 17-year-old student, he promptly ended the call. It’s clear he was trying to ensnare unsuspecting souls.
