I received a call from this number earlier today, claiming to be representatives of BT security located on Newgate Street. They insisted that they had to modify my IP address urgently, as they alleged that my account had been compromised by hackers from Nigeria. Interestingly, they provided a name - Katy James - along with a contact number... rather suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call today from someone purporting to be from BT Technical Support. They claimed that our internet would be cut off because they detected unauthorised access to our account linked to an IP address in Nigeria. Quite the alarming situation!

I had a rather dubious encounter with an Indian chap who asserted he was from BT, stating that four computers in Nigeria were apparently linked to my IP address. I insisted on confirming this with BT before proceeding any further. Initially, he provided me with a customer service number (02032907806) and told me to reference a supposed ID, Peter Watson (BT 945686). Naturally, I rang BT’s genuine customer service line (0800 800 150), only to be informed that it was a scam number and that they never disclose ID numbers like that. Quite the shifty manoeuvre, if you ask me!
