He was rambling on about me needing to grab a ukase cheque from the post office, claiming someone would pop round to my gaff with the cheque in exchange for a voucher. Honestly, I knew the cheque would be about as useful as a chocolate teapot! I was more than ready for them to send someone, so I could snap a photo and hand it over to the bobbies. But, I must admit, my frustration got the better of me when I ended up threatening to travel to London to give him a piece of my mind. Lo and behold, he hung up quicker than you could say 'scam'. The funny thing is, she had already been informed that the claim was all a dead end. Henry insisted he was handling the claim for her and that if she could manage a cash transfer of £500, the cheque would then be sent straight to her home. The callers are insisting they've got a cheque on its way for a claim I supposedly made regarding PPI charges tied to an old bank loan. However, both the bank and the claims company have informed me that there was no PPI associated with that particular loan-exactly what I suspected when that company originally contacted me! It’s rather puzzling why they’re suddenly claiming to deliver a cheque now.
