They keep dangling in front of him these cheque offers starting from £11,000, then bumping up to £13,000, and now £16,000, but only if he continues sending money through UKASH. We have no idea what they’re saying to convince him, but he’s completely hooked and refuses to listen to us, or even his bank and the police when they warn him it’s a scam. The names they have used on calls include Nick Carter, Jim Morrison, and Paul Simon. You can never reach them directly, you get told to leave a message and they’ll call back if you seem like easy prey.
