Just had another dodgy call claiming to be from BT, which is quite amusing since we don’t even use their services! Ended up having a rather lengthy conversation with the chap and even his supposed manager. Quite the entertaining exchange, if nothing else!

Watch out, this is totally a scam. I got a call from someone called Benjamin who said he was from BT. I ended up hanging up on him after a bit.

A rather dubious phone call came through from someone claiming to be with “Open Reach.” He droned on and on about some supposed hackers over in the States breaching our IP address. He even provided a number to ring back, 02032906013. We politely mentioned that we weren’t quite ready to chat, as it was really early in the morning, and just like that, they hung up. Definitely a scam!

I received a call from a chap who claimed to represent BT, stating he was contacting me from 81 Newgate Street. He spoke with a thick Indian accent and alleged that my internet was compromised by an individual located in California. After I ended the call, I dialled 1471 to trace the number and discovered the call actually originated from 0121 535 2524.
