This bloke claimed he was with 02 Promotions and offered me a 30% discount. He asked me to verify my 02 number, but he rang my EE SIM. I told him if he really worked for O2, he’d already have my number and should prove it to me. He couldn’t and just made up some rubbish excuses.

Got a call from some Indian firm saying they just set up our company on Companies House and need to sort our utilities bill. The bloke was sketchy since he couldn’t answer when we moved in or any basic info. I’ve been getting loads of calls like this, over 50 from similar companies, so I immediately recognised it as a scam. Next time, ask them to verify details before you say anything and don’t share your info. Proper businesses wouldn’t ring you up like that out of the blue.

This number rings my workplace loads of times daily on various lines since we run three different companies. Usually, they just cut off right after you pick up. One time it was a lady saying she was from E-on, but today some Indian bloke answered, said he was from British Gas and mumbled a load of rubbish. When I told him I couldn’t catch a word, he got all stroppy and said he needed to speak to a manager because apparently I was being rude. Doesn’t sound like something a genuine energy firm would do!

Got a call at 6.15pm on our work line. What proper company rings after hours when most people have knocked off for the day? The caller claimed to be from SSE about renewing our business electricity. Seemed fishy so I told them I’d ring back to verify, then they just hung up and didn’t bother again. Turns out this is a scam targeting various energy providers. We actually use SSE and our contract is due soon. Now I’m really curious - how on earth do these scammers get hold of such specific details? GDPR isn’t protecting us like it’s supposed to.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from EDF Energy. I told him it was strange since the last time he called, he said he was from British Gas. He kept insisting he was my current supplier but as soon as I asked a couple of straightforward questions, he just ended the call. Definitely sounds like a dodgy energy salesman. Would be daft to deal with them.

Really stubborn caller. Rang me a couple times, even phoned again right after I ended the call. Had a strong Asian accent and was going on about my contract running out, COVID stuff, terms and conditions, and trying to pass me to some manager to send a letter. Next time I’ll just tell them to shove it where the sun don’t shine, maybe throw in some religious language for extra effect.

Got a call from an Asian bloke saying he was from my energy company trying to get me to renew a contract. When I asked who he was exactly, he said British Gas but insisted it was for electricity. I don't have any contract like that. He said his name was "Jacob" and threatened I’d be getting these calls daily if I didn't give him more info. Ended the call with "You're wasting my time sir."

A woman speaking with an Asian accent claimed to be calling from British Gas, saying my contract needed renewing. When I asked her for the last five digits of my account number, she got quiet, then gave some random five numbers that definitely weren't mine. I told her that was wrong, and she tried to convince me by stating my business address. I told her I didn't trust her, thinking it was a scam, and hung up.

Got a call from someone pretending to be British Gas. He told me he needed to post my renewal prices but wanted my business info first. I told him we’ve never had to do it that way before and asked him just to send the letter. He said they can’t send anything unless they get all the details over the phone first. I said I’d never done it like that before and he replied, ‘Well, it’s 2020.’ I told him I wasn’t allowed to share that info and asked him to ring back tomorrow.

They said they was from SSE, but there was quite a pause and the accent sounded more like an Indian call centre than someone from the UK, but maybe I was wrong. She told me she was ringing up to help me save cash on my energy bills, but I told her I wasn't interested.

They call me nearly every day, sometimes even more than three times. Over the past year, I’ve asked them to remove me from their list and told them I’m not interested. Today, a very rude woman kept phoning again and again. When I said she wasn’t acting professional, she replied she was very professional and a good mum. Then she kept calling, saying 'why you ringing me?' I’m absolutely fed up with this now.

I received a dodgy call that seemed to originate from a call centre. The chap on the other end had a thick accent typical of the Indian subcontinent. In just a mere ten minutes, I received a staggering five calls from this persistent individual. They simply refused to accept my refusals and grew increasingly aggressive with their tone. I've been inundated with a barrage of pesky calls over the past week, and they certainly don’t take rejection lightly. The initial call was supposedly from a company called Dual Energy, but their feedback online is absolutely dreadful. They kept insisting they could connect me to alternative providers like npower. Most baffling of all was when they claimed affiliation with a fuel brokerage whose total assets amount to a measly £283! I politely declined, of course. To top it all off, today they had the audacity to claim to be representing Gazprom, that massive Russian corporation! No thanks, I’ll pass on that as well.

Had loads of annoying calls last week, they just wouldn’t accept me saying no. The first lot said they were from an energy firm called Dual Energy, which has pretty terrible reviews. Then they kept going on about switching me to other firms like npower. Later, some caller said they worked for a fuel broker company worth about £283 - yeah right, no thanks. Then today, someone rang pretending to be from Gazprom, which is actually a massive Russian company!

I’d strongly advise against picking up when this number rings. I find myself inundated with three or four of these calls daily on my work line. My recommendation? Just ignore the calls altogether. I recently had quite the confrontation with one of the callers, trying my best to politely request they cease their incessant ring-ins, but it seems they just don’t grasp the idea. Their grasp of English leaves much to be desired, and attempting to have any sort of meaningful conversation is utterly futile. Take heed!

We receive calls from this firm on a weekly basis-it's quite ridiculous! I’ve faced quite a bit of rudeness and have been treated poorly by the person on the other end.
