I got a call from some robot pretending to be human, asking about a crash I’d supposedly been in not long ago. Since I enjoy messing with these sorts, I gave them answers like “yeah, I was in an accident, but can’t recall a thing.” Eventually, they put me through to a real person, but I just stayed quiet till they finally gave up and hung up. How on earth do these scammers get away with running these dodgy schemes? They’re even worse than those annoying PPI callers.

020 3290 9211 They've called me loads, maybe about 15 times, always about different scams like PPI, accident claims, and today they claimed I’d won an iPhone! I kept calling back and pestering them until the guy got really annoyed and started swearing at me. Every time I asked them to take me off their list but they never did. The person sounded very Indian, kept hanging up when I called back too. Don’t pick up if you get this number, it’s obviously a dodgy scam.

I received a rather alarming phone call this morning. A woman on the other end claimed to be ringing from accident and emergency, stating that someone had been involved in an accident. However, her command of English was quite lacking, and it became clear she was inquiring whether I had experienced an accident myself. It was a rather frightening moment, receiving such news, especially when it turned out to be a false alarm.

On the 3rd of June 2016, I received a phone call around 1 PM from this number. A chap named Gabrielle claimed to be representing Accident Investigation, inquiring about some accident supposedly linked to my number. I quickly told him it was utter nonsense and demanded he hang up at once and refrain from contacting me again.

Got a call on my ex's old phone number, no idea where they got my digits from. They rang twice then stopped, so I tried calling back but the line was dead. Glad to see others have mentioned this number too, so I’m sure it’s a scam. Really feel bad for older people getting hassled by these scammers, and it seems like there’s nothing done to put a stop to it.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Indian, asking if anyone in my family had an accident because they had some info. I asked what info they meant, and the guy just told me to "go f*** yourself" and ended the call. Proper annoying!

I received a call from an Indian woman claiming to be from an official accident claims department. When I queried, 'Are you certain you've dialled the correct number? This is actually a police station,' there was a sudden silence on the line, and the call just dropped! Quite the peculiar encounter, I must say!

Had a very similar thing happen to me. I’m on the TPS list and my number’s ex directory. Funny thing is, I don’t even have a car. I’m definately going to report this to the TPS. I just haven’t got the patience for these unwanted sales calls. Lucky for me, I’ve got my call blocker set up so at least that number can’t bother me again.

They said it was about an accident I was supposedly involved in. Tried to get me to confirm some details like car registration. I said I’d confirm but they wouldn’t give me the reg first. Told them I needed the reg number to double check. Ended up speaking to two different supervisors, both sounded Indian.

spoke to some call centre person with a really heavy accent, asking if anyone in my house had a car crash recently and saying there’s ‘pre-approved’ compensation. sounded like he was just reading from a script, kept ignoring when i asked why he was calling and just went back to his spiel. was kinda funny when he made up this whole story to get me to give my info: “in a small car like yours it’s definitely the other driver’s fault, you shouldn’t blame yourself” - total nonsense!

I’ve got an ex-directory number beginning 01502 and this bloke from some overseas call centre rang me. I couldn’t really catch the name of his company but got that it was about some claim from a road accident supposedly 2 years ago. I told him my number is ex-directory and he shouldn’t be calling me. Obviously I wasn’t involved in any accident. He really shouldn’t be phoning an ex-directory number like mine.
