2 yearssomeone called saying they were from hsbc but as soon as i asked some questions they just ended the call abruptly2 yearsSo this bloke said he was calling from Barclays, right? I was actually on the line with the genuine Barclays team at the same time, just to check. The dodgy caller couldn't add any notes that the real Barclays person could see, which was a dead giveaway. Then, out of nowhere, he hung up on me again. Proper fishy if you ask me.Barclays2 yearsSomeone rang me saying they were from TSB and wanted our bank details to verify who we are, supposedly about a transaction with a company we actually do business with! How on earth they got those details I have no idea. When we challenged them and told them to prove they were really from the bank by giving our account number, they just ended the call. Absolute scammers, watch out!!!! Remember, your bank will never request your account info over the phone, so don’t hand it over.TSB11 yearsI bought a new pay as you go SIM and put up a couple of ads on Gumtree, only using my first name. Not long after, I got a ring from someone called Howard, who claimed to be with a law firm and said there was an accident I might be able to claim compensation for. Then, a short while later, I got another call. When I asked him for my surname, he just ended the call. Definitely feels dodgy - probably a scam solicitor.GumtreeHowardSubmit Your Own Report (020 3290 5392)
