But then he started hustling me to buy some ridiculously expensive firewall software to fix the problem and get my screen back to normal. I told him to hand control of my computer back to me immediately and that I’d be getting a proper opinion from someone with more knowledge.Microsoft5 yearsI got tricked into ringing this number after a message popped up on my screen saying it was from Microsoft. The voice said my computer was locked and I had to call back within 5 minutes. I did call and ended up letting them access my computer remotely. They tried to convince me to install some “Microsoft security” software, claiming it was free but I had to enter my debit card info anyway. That’s when I ended the call.
