Got a call from someone claiming to be with TSB saying my card was involved in fraud and asked to check my account balance. They even verified my identity and address, but it felt dodgy so I ended the call. Rang my bank afterwards, and they told me everything was fine and they've flagged the incident.

Had another dodgy call from someone with a noticeable foreign accent. They claimed to be representing O2 and promised they could lower my mobile charges. Classic scam tactic!

Got a call from some guy claiming to be with O2, but sounded like one of those typical scams. I’m out here in the West Country, so I knew something was up.

I got a call on a family member's phone and when I picked up, the person claimed to be from O2 Upgrades. They asked if I knew the account holder's name, but obviously, I didn’t. I called them out saying they weren’t actually O2. They kept insisting they were from O2 upgrades. I told them straight up it was a scam and I'd report it, then they just hung up on me. A genuine company wouldn’t behave like that at all!

I got a call from Telefonica UK Limited, turns out it’s an Indian call centre. They promised to wipe out my mobile bill completely and even throw in a free phone. They claimed they’d stop my direct debit but I’d need to pay a single £4 fee. Then, right near the end of the chat, they asked for my bank info. Pretty obvious it’s a scam, honestly - if it seems too good to be true, that’s usually exactly what it is.

I made the mistake of picking up. Some bloke with an accent said "good morning, madam, I'm ringing from O2." Since I’m not an O2 customer, I just said thanks and ended the call before blocking the number.
