I had a rather dodgy phone call from an Asian chap who purported to represent Amazon. He went on about how my Amazon account was supposedly hacked. Honestly, it felt like a scam!

Got a call from an Asian bloke who, when I started asking questions, passed me over to his “boss.” They claimed to be from Amazon security, saying someone was messing with my account. They wanted me to install some software (looked legit enough) that would let both me and them get remote access. He kept trying to say it was all above board, but I asked for his full name and number (he said Martin) and then just cut the call.

Extremely hazardous! This individual goes by the name John Walker, quite convincing, I must say. They’ve also been using the number 0208 133 1884, alongside a variety of random local digits that happen to belong to a batch originally assigned to the old Virgin Media when they installed their cabling in the area over two decades ago. Proceed with caution!

Got a call from a couple, sounded like they were from Amazon, saying my account was at risk. They wanted me to pay for some “security” service and tried to get remote access to my computer. Definitely something to watch out for, especially for older folks who might not be as suspicious about these kinds of tricks. Proper dodgy!

I got a robocall saying my Amazon Prime subscription was about to expire and that £39.99 would be taken from my bank if I didn’t do anything. They told me to hit 1 to speak to someone. Thing is, I don’t even have an Amazon account, so it’s clearly a scam trying to trick people.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying my Amazon account was hacked. Then he started asking me to pay up so he could 'secure' it. He also tried to get into my computer, which I obviously didn’t let him do. Quite a dodgy call!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, sounded like a busy call centre. At first, he said he was from a security firm but when I asked more, he switched to saying it was Amazon. He told me to look through my emails for some security alert. I asked for his contact number, and he gave me 0203 290 3250. I told him I'd look into it and ring back, then just ended the call.

I've had several calls from this firm claiming there’s some issue with our internet being hacked and demanding money to fix it. When I mentioned I’d contact their boss about them accusing us of hacking others, the line just cut off, and now my computer won’t work at all.
