My mum, who’s quite advanced in years, received a rather alarming voicemail on her home phone. The message warned her that she’d soon be facing arrest over some supposed debt. She rang the number back afterwards and was told they’d be in contact again soon. After doing a bit of digging, I discovered that the number was linked to a scam.
