They sometimes phone from a mobile number 07517097436 but will immediately call back from the 020 number if you hang up, confirming it's a scam. I had a call today from a man with an Asian voice saying the company had gone under because of Brexit and that I had taken out a lifetime protection on that device and was entitled to a £300 refund. He knew some details of my new bank card (I assume it's from hacking online purchase information and finding some of the digits listed) but asked for my CVV number, which I was not going to give him because he claimed he needed the details for my new card. I asked how he had details of my new card then if I had used my previous card. I hung up, and they tried to phone me from this number four more times afterwards, but I didn't answer.

I received a call from this number. I could hardly understand what they were trying to say. They claimed they were speaking for 'Automobile Services'. I checked two reputable users of this name and knew they had nothing to do with this. It's another unpleasant scam. I am astonished that the government does not close down this sort of behaviour. There must be a way.

I got a call from this number, but they hung up just after one ring. I decided to search for it on this website and ended up blocking it!

I received a call earlier from an overseas individual claiming to be with the online fraud team. I politely informed him that I didn't have a moment to spare and ended the conversation.

I was targeted by a dodgy refund scam recently. It's absolutely infuriating how these crooks operate!

After a brief silence, a voice with an accent came through. I couldn’t make heads or tails of his chatter. I told him straight that he was trying to con me and that I’d keep him chatting just to fritter away his time. That did the trick; he hung up quickly!

One Stop Ltd has offered to reimburse me £300 for a service I initially subscribed to back in 2018 due to their impending closure. However, I’m not buying it. I informed the trickster, who tried to pin the blame on Brexit, that there are regulations in place to protect consumers from such dealings. It’s a right cheek!

Received a dodgy call in the middle of the afternoon from someone claiming that our phone company owed us a refund dating back to 2018. The person had a foreign accent and seemed to be reading from a script. Honestly, it's nothing short of harassment, and these unsolicited calls are the worst!

I've just received a dodgy phone call claiming they’re going to process a refund straight into my bank account. It’s absolutely a scam! Whatever you do, don't share any details with these sneaky con artists. Stay vigilant!

I was informed that a refund was supposedly owed to me, but I've never encountered this company before. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

This is now the second time someone hasn't left a message on my voicemail, so I’ve decided to ignore the call entirely.

International caller, looks like they're just trying to fleece everyone, another dodgy operation on the brink of collapse.

I've been plagued by a truly relentless caller claiming to sort out refunds! It's absolutely maddening!

I received a call claiming that I was entitled to a refund, but it turned out to be one of those typical scams where they're after my bank information. When I suggested that if he really did owe me money, he should simply send a cheque, he abruptly ended the conversation. Typical!

I've been receiving calls from this number really frequently, and after doing a bit of sleuthing here, I stumbled upon several comments suggesting it might be a scammer. I’m not one to pick up calls from unknown numbers, especially with all the dodgy characters out there. So, I think I’ll just keep giving this one a miss.

Steer clear!
Put on my block list and reported.
They ought to be behind bars.
Clearly, they are not decent individuals.

This is a dodgy situation, folks—clearly just a ploy to siphon off your banking information. Best to steer clear!

The call cut off unexpectedly, and unsurprisingly, there was no reply.

It’s quite evident this is a dodgy character attempting to trick me into claiming a refund for funds I supposedly paid five years back, which is entirely untrue. Stay vigilant, everyone.

I received a call from a chap named David who claimed that, five years back, I signed up for some sort of online protection service. He mentioned that the company has now gone under because of Brexit, and that I’m eligible for a refund of 65% of an amount I supposedly never paid. Sounds like a proper con to me!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from a refund department, asking for my bank details. I flat out refused, and then he dangled the carrot of a £300 refund in front of me. I told him to bugger off, and he promptly ended the call. What a cheek!

What a nuisance! Just received a dodgy call that seems to be a scam!

I've been receiving calls from this number about three to four times daily for the past week. I haven't picked up because I don't recognise it and I'm rather suspicious it might be a scam, particularly since they never leave a voicemail. Today, out of curiosity, I answered the call only to be met with complete silence on the other end. Quite bizarre!

Complete con artist! Got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent claiming he was in London. He said I could get £269 back for insurance I supposedly paid for electrical items back in 2018. He wanted my bank details and email – ridiculous! I’ve never taken out such insurance! Seriously, don’t share your personal info with strangers on the phone. Pure scam rubbish!

Claimed to be customer support regarding a refund. I mentioned that I had searched the number online and discovered it was linked to scams, then I told them to get lost.

Received a call from someone purporting to be from an internet security department, and I must say, it sent shivers down my spine. He had the audacity to know my entire name and went on about a supposed money refund that was owed to me. Strangely enough, he even rattled off the last four digits of my credit card! It’s got all the hallmarks of a scam, if you ask me!

Clearly a dodgy operation. Spoke with a chap who had a strong Indian accent, claiming he needed to sort out an overpayment refund from Barclays (a bank I refuse to associate with due to their apartheid history). He was quite insistent on getting my PIN number, to which I firmly told him to take a hike.

This appears to be a fraudulent scheme masquerading as a refund related to online security subscriptions. They’re winding down operations and enticing folks with a whopping 65% discount. Be warned – it’s a total scam!

Beware of this so-called "refund" fraudster – they're fishing for your bank or debit card information.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with internet security. They had my name and mentioned that they were shutting down operations, suggesting I was owed a refund. To my surprise, they rattled off the final four digits of my previous credit card. They were eager for me to verify some information—and, naturally, I ignored the request.
