I got scammed out of £30 by someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. Never got the phone I ordered and whenever I tried calling back, none of the numbers worked - 03300017725, 08000584544 or 02032898155. Just a total con.

I got a call from this number claiming to be from 3 mobiles. They were pushing an offer for an iPhone 14 Promax with a 3 network plan, all for £40 a month over 24 months, with unlimited texts, calls, and data. They asked for all sorts of info like my bank and card details. Then on the 11th, I noticed £30 had been taken from my account listed as an O2 online order, but I hadn’t even placed anything with O2. The next day I got a parcel, but it was a Samsung Z Fold 4 instead of the iPhone 14 Promax I thought I ordered. I called the number back to sort it out and told them the phone was wrong. They said I had to return the phone by 4.30 pm on the 12th and send a receipt if I wanted a refund for the £30 and a £8.95 delivery fee. Now when I ring them, no one picks up. I’m still waiting on the £38.95 refund they owe me. I’ve already sent the package back to 179 Plashet Road, London, E13 0QZ.

Loads of scammers have been calling me saying they're from Carphone Warehouse, it's proper annoying!

I got a call from this number tonight, saying I was owed a refund. The caller had an accent that made it hard to catch everything he was saying. He claimed I was supposed to get £79 because apparently I hadn’t used some Microsoft service.
He asked me to turn on my computer and complete a form to get the refund. I wasn’t keen on that, especially since it involved sharing my bank details. He promised he wouldn't see my banking info though. He said he’d ring back tomorrow, but I’m still not sure what to make of it. Cheers, Valerie Sims
