Just like before, total fraudsters - as soon as I called him out for lying, he dropped the call straight away!

BEWARE AND STAY VIGILANT! Just like Duncan mentioned previously, I've had a similar experience. A so-called "Technical Support" from Talk Talk rang me up, guiding me through various steps to show me supposed issues on my device. He then asked for my ID and PASSWORD after directing me to a dodgy site. Apparently, I was told I required a new router, and that a technician would swing by tomorrow morning-on a Sunday, mind you! It's utterly ridiculous to think you’d need a professional to simply plug in a router! Once I declined to provide him with my credentials, he began to lose his temper. I suggested they could absolutely send over a new router and I’d be more than willing to call Talk Talk directly for instructions on how to set it up myself, but there was no way I’d divulge any sensitive information to him. He promptly hung up on me! Clearly, it’s all a scam. My heart goes out to anyone who might fall for this-it's all too easy to get caught up in such tactics.

I had a rather dubious call from an individual claiming to be from TalkTalk's tech support team, insisting that there was an undisclosed issue with my router. Naturally, I inquired for a contact number to verify their claims, and they provided me with 0203 289 8034. However, after checking with 1471, it turns out the call originated from 001 02078 962583. This definitely feels like a classic scam, doesn't it?

Today I got a call from this number, some bloke saying he was from my phone provider, going on about "problems with their servers" and then asked me to install some remote access software on my PC. Yeah, no thanks!
I just ended the call and phoned my actual provider, who told me they NEVER request customers to do stuff like that. They said it was a total scam. The guy didn’t even bother to give his name, which was pretty dodgy.
Be careful and don’t get caught out like I almost did! Giving control of your computer to some random stranger who calls out of the blue is a recipe for disaster, no matter what tech talk they throw at you or how much they pretend to know about you.

Received a call claiming to be from TalkTalk, insisting my internet was on the blink. In reality, it's perfectly fine!
