They left a message on my voicemail, but I didn’t bother calling back because I had a feeling it was one of those dodgy scams. I looked up the number online and found this handy site. Yep, got a call saying it was HMRC about some court stuff, very intimidating and honestly quite nasty. I wonder why HMRC doesn't stop this nonsense? Are they even aware people use their name for these scams? Seems like they could easily put an end to it fast. Feels like the scammers are just getting a free pass from the authorities because no one's stopping them!

Got a call from a robotic voice pretending to be HMRC, saying I'd got an arrest warrant. I rang the number back, someone picked up but stayed completely silent. Proper odd!

Just like loads of other folks have said, they claimed to be from HMRC. Mentioned some case number, WC4589, and said I was about to face legal trouble if I didn’t ring them back. It’s definitely a scam. I’ve already contacted the police since they’re pretending to be from HMRC which is really dodgy.
