This number's been popping up in those dodgy PayPal email scams. They include names like Bryn Madson, then throw in random addresses like 3 Edgar Building on George St, Bath BA1 2FJ, and places in Aberdeen too, like 73 Holburn Street AB10 6DN. Sounds proper fishy to me.

Just hung up after it rang three times.

I had some laughs with this number! It was obviously dodgy, so I fed them made-up info - fake name, bogus email, and some random bank details I found online. They’re now ringing up asking for a £30 “security deposit” and saying they’ll send some kind of payment authorisation to “my bank.” I keep telling them no and playing dumb, asking them to repeat themselves. At least if they’re chasing after all these false details, they’re not bothering real people to scam.

definitely a scam, dont trust this number!

I got a call from a mobile phone firm trying to trick me. They promised to pay off my existing contract and sell me an iPhone12 for just £30 a month. Even after I kept saying I wasn’t interested and asked them to delete my info, they called me crazy! Then they said they’d contact someone to have me sectioned because apparently refusing their deal means I’m “not of sound mind.” Totally mad experience.

Got a call from this dodgy phone contract place, sounded Asian and the bloke was yakking so quick I couldn’t catch a word!

Got a call with loads of noise in the background, and the woman was talking super quick. She was trying to sell me an iPhone 12 for £30 a month. I told her nicely to remove me from their marketing calls and then just hung up.

This guy was going like a mile a minute, couldn’t catch half of what he said. I asked him a couple times to slow his roll, but he just kept on rushing through. He was trying to sell me some phone contract for thirty quid a month or something. After asking him to slow down again, I told him my number’s on the TPS list so he really shouldn’t be ringing me up. Wasn’t exactly polite, told him to get lost right after.

I received a call from a guy trying to get me to switch my mobile contract to his service. He’d already called me back in February, and I’d said no then, but he rang again just a month later. When I mentioned I was registered with the TPS, he seemed completely clueless about what that even meant. You’d think someone working with mobile contracts would know about the TPS! I told him to stop phoning me or I’d have to report him.

I received a phone call from a chap trying to persuade me to switch my phone contract over to his offer. Strangely enough, I had a similar conversation just last month, and I turned it down politely, as the previous caller was quite amiable. However, this time, when I said I wasn’t interested and mentioned that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, he wouldn’t let it go! To my disbelief, he had no clue about the TPS. I requested that he don’t ring me again and warned him I’d report the company if this harassment continued!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Fonehouse, trying to pitch deals on mobile contracts and SIMs. They later emailed me the offer I picked, coming from the address [email protected][###]. I spoke with a couple of different people, and they all sounded like they had Indian accents.

Some bloke rang up wanting to chat about my phone contract. I asked him how he even got my number, and he just said it was some kinda "promo call." Then I mentioned GDPR and asked if he knew about it. After that, he just said he’d hang up. Totally sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call from these lot offering some amazing deal - £25 a month for endless calls, texts and data on the newest Samsung S21. I had a bit of free time so I played along, said I’d ring back coz I didn’t have my bank info handy. He’s set to call me again later, so I’m just gonna keep him hanging for a bit before calling the whole scam out. Love wasting their time like that!

My phone just rang but I didn’t pick up, and there was no voicemail left either. Honestly, I’m so sick of getting blasted with calls like this all the time.

Pretty sure it was a spam or scam call. I saw a missed call from a number that my phone marked as spam, but I was intrigued by some comments saying they might pick up if you call back. So, I gave it a ring. They actually answered, but as soon as I mentioned I’d missed their call, they started laughing and then hung up. Needless to say, the number’s now blocked.

I had a call from someone attempting to peddle the latest iPhone, and I let them know it was my work device, hence the final decision lay with them. To my surprise, the salesperson accused me of being untruthful. I had to clarify that there was absolutely no incentive for me to fabricate anything. So, I strung the conversation out a bit, just to occupy their time and prevent them from bothering anyone else!

Received a call on my work line just now - on a Saturday, no less! Naturally, I didn’t pick up. Upon checking the call log, it turns out it’s the same mob that rang me the other day. I know, I know, I shouldn’t have answered, but it’s a work phone, and I usually have to respond to unfamiliar numbers. They claimed to be from a phone retailer offering me some brilliant deals that would save me a fortune. Honestly, I don’t even use this phone! Best to steer clear of this number if you can!

Received a call claiming to be from Fonehouse, touting a special offer. When I expressed my disinterest, they insisted on connecting me to a colleague who could assist me further. I ended the conversation right there, but they proceeded to ring me twice again, leaving voicemails that I had no intention of checking!

The line quality was terrible and I struggled to catch what the person on the other end was saying. They sounded like they were from abroad, and since I couldn't make out the conversation, I just hung up. Pretty sure this was just another spam call.

I just had 0344 309 0202 ring me first, which I know is a dodgy spam call about some 02 mobile discount trying to steal bank info. Right after that, 0203 289 6782 called me too. I didn’t pick up either time, cos I usually don’t answer numbers I don’t know. Seems like these calls are linked for sure!
