Finally picked up the phone after numerous calls over the past few days. The woman on the line claimed she was representing Carphone Warehouse, but I wasn’t convinced at all!

They rang me but just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, offering a deal on a new iPhone. They said there’d be a £4 upfront admin fee that’s supposedly refundable. Sounds dodgy, right? Turns out it was a call centre based in the Philippines. They even emailed me some fake details to make it look legit. Total scam!
