02032893669 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02032893669 👆 is reported as associated with numerous scams falsely claiming to be from BT, warning of internet security issues and urging recipients to change settings or download software. Callers often have heavy accents, provide dubious names, and use various numbers including local and international prefixes. The scam involves trying to convince victims to grant remote access via software like TeamViewer or visit misleading websites. Genuine BT never initiates unsolicited calls about such matters or asks for personal details or software installations. Several victims noted aggressive behaviour when challenged and multiple reports confirm this as a persistent and elaborate fraud. It is strongly advised to hang up immediately, independently verify through official BT contact channels, and never share remote access codes or install requested software.

I got a call from a guy with a strong foreign accent who was warning me that my internet connection wasn’t secure. Apparently, he claimed BT supplies internet services to every other provider across the UK. I told him my internet was working perfectly fine, but he kept saying it wasn’t safe. When I asked for his details, he said his name was Paul Stamford and gave me the number 02032883668. I told him I’d ring my provider to verify and then ended the call straight away. Right when he introduced himself, he strangely muted out his name, and that immediately raised a red flag for me.

Today I got a call from some call centre saying there had been dodgy activity on my internet recently. That’s odd, considering I only got my internet set up about an hour ago. I told the bloke to ring me back later and quickly got in touch with BT, who confirmed it’s a well-known scam. I just had a word with “Mike” from the noisy call centre, and told him the police have been notified. He was pretty rude, threatening to cut off my internet before hanging up on me. What a bunch of absolute muppets!

Today I received a phone call from some call centre warning me about suspicious activity on my internet. Bit odd really since I only got my internet set up less than an hour ago. I told the bloke to ring me back later and quickly got in touch with BT. Turns out it's a scam that BT are well aware of. I ended up speaking to a guy called Mike at this very noisy call centre, told him the police had been informed, and he rudely said he was going to cut off my internet before hanging up. What a complete bunch of muppets...

I got a call from this number saying I needed to ring back someone named Dominic Coleman. He was going on about how my IP address was supposedly public, not private. He told us to check stuff on the W3C Validator and some BT Server site. Thankfully, my son works in IT, so we saw through the whole thing and didn’t fall for it.

Looks like a scam to me. A woman named Rose said she was from BT and told me my IP address had switched from private to public. When I asked for a callback number, she gave me 0203 289 3669 and a business number she said was registered. She tried to get me to fix my settings by logging on to my device, but I told her it sounded dodgy and refused to touch my computer. She just said "Alright" and then hung up. The call came from 0019169332426. Just so everyone knows - BT never ring you out of the blue, and if you do call BT, they’ll always give you an 0800 freephone number.

Someone called saying they were from BT and told my elderly mum and dad that their IP address had switched from private to public. It reminded me of a post I read from ages ago, some time back in 2018. Thankfully, my parents checked with me before taking any action because it sounded fishy and made them worry their computer was in danger. Like others have said, without an IP address, it wouldn't be possible to get online at all.

So, this number 0019169332426 rang me up claiming they were from BT about some security breach linked to an IP address. When I mentioned I’d ring back later, they gave me a contact name, Daniel Smith, with the number 02032893669. I found it a bit odd that an Indian guy would have such a very English name, and when I asked about it, he said it was just his work name and then suddenly ended the call! Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

They pretend to be from BT and sound really trustworthy, telling you they won’t ask for any personal details but need to fix some security problems with your internet. They’ll get you to open a site called validator that supposedly lists issues with your IP. After that, they say they have to link you up to BT servers to sort everything out. Then comes the bit where they want you to download Teamviewer. Obviously, that’s a no-go for me since it gives them full access to your PC. Proper dodgy scam this one.

Somebody rang up saying they were from BT. They told me my internet wasn’t safe anymore and that I had to download some software to sort it out. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT tech support. They tried to convince me to install software on my laptop. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

This is definitely a dodgy operation! I got sucked into it and nearly lost a whopping £19,000. Trust me, just hang up and steer clear of these crooks!

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT saying there was a problem with my phone line and that 'my private IP address was exposed'. They tried to guide me through some tests to confirm the issue, like asking me to find my public IP address (which every device online has anyway) and showed me some error messages on BT's site that were just normal website bugs. After a while, they realised I wasn’t buying any of it and just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

Just a heads up, don’t trust anything that comes from this number. Almost got tricked by a really sophisticated scam involving BT pretending there was some security problem. Be careful!

I got a phone call from someone saying he was Dave from BT, telling me there were security issues with my internet that needed sorting. He told me to press the Windows key and R together to change some settings, but I didn’t do what he said because I was suspicious about what he wanted me to do next. I told him I wasn’t convinced he worked for BT and asked for a contact number to ring him back. He gave me 02032893669, but the call I received actually came from 001708481331. Pretty clear it was a scam.

I got a phone call supposedly from BT about an issue with our internet security. They gave me this number to get back to them: (02032893669). But the actual call came from 001708481331. I didn’t bother phoning the number they gave, seems dodgy - probably just a scam.

This number kept ringing me. When I answered, there was silence for a few seconds before a person finally came on (obviously some automated system dialling loads of calls and waiting for a response). They said they were from BT, trying to sort out security issues on my internet because apparently lots of alerts popped up from my IP address. I decided to mess with them a bit and kept them on the phone for over 5 minutes - my personal record! I told them I had to go and asked for a callback number. They wanted me to enter some kind of code on my PC and share it with others. The number they gave was 02032893669. Later I phoned it, just out of curiosity (after checking I wasn’t blocking my own line by calling another number first). Someone answered immediately, but sounded dodgy, if you ask me.

Someone rang me saying they were from BT, but it didn't sit right with me. I wasn't convinced it was legit at all.

So I got a call from some number I didn't recognise (02032893669), and the person said they were from BT. It was obvious they were trying to trick me into letting them mess with my computer. When I asked for a contact number to ring back, they gave me that same one.
