Received a call today around 6 in the evening. After a lengthy chat of roughly 35 minutes, they mentioned someone would ring back to confirm the information I had provided. However, I waited in vain for a callback. So, I decided to dial the number myself, only to be met with a message saying the number doesn’t exist. I have a hunch this might be a scam attempt.

I just had a phone call not long ago (11:30 am on Thursday, 26th November) from someone promising to slash my electricity costs. I had to inform him that I'm actually an energy consultant who’s well-versed in the industry and has connections with all the suppliers across the UK. Honestly, I could probably give him a few pointers on how things really work! Cheers, William Geidt

I received a call that claimed to be from Eon, and I had to inform the gentleman on the other end that my number is listed to avoid sales calls. Instead of accepting this, he insisted he could ring anyone he wished. What a thoroughly discourteous individual!
