This person called me saying they were from BT Internet Security and warned about some dodgy activity on my router and internet. They said if they couldn’t get access, my internet speed would seriously slow down. The call came through as a withheld number, but when I asked for a callback number, they gave me 0203 2893039.

WARNING ABOUT SCAM CALLS!!!
This number has been calling me nonstop, so I finally had to block it!
They claimed to be from BT and warned my internet would go offline today due to suspicious activity and viruses on my PC!!
I rang BT myself and they said they’d never made that call!!
These scammers are definitely on the rise lately, so never share any of your personal info unless you’re totally sure about who you’re talking to!

I got a call not long ago from someone saying he was Mike Dawson at BT. He told me there was an issue with my internet connection, but the background was so noisy it felt like it was from an offshore call centre. The whole thing seemed fishy, especially since he never asked for any security info. Definitely made me wary.
