Didn’t pick up the call, looked like it was from London. I just ended up blocking the number anyway.

Got a call from a Sheffield number, some automated voice claiming to be HMRC, saying if I don’t respond I’ll face ‘legal action’ or whatever. Sounded like just another scam to me.

They rang me but I couldn’t pick up, so they left a voicemail instead.

The phone just buzzed once and went to voicemail before I could pick it up. The caller said they were an "HMRC officer" demanding I call them - or my solicitor - back or there’d be "serious trouble." Shame I missed the chance to take the call. Was actually feeling a bit mischievous and could’ve given them a bit of hassle today!

Got a recorded call from someone pretending to be "Officer X" from HMRC. Definitely a scam, so be careful!

Got a voice message from some automated system saying it’s important and urgent I ring back. They claimed to be Officer Dennis Grey from HM Revenue and Customs and gave this number 020 3289 2504. They warned if I or my lawyer didn’t get in touch, there’d be legal trouble. The message kept repeating the number to call back, said not to ignore it. Sounded pretty official but a bit fishy to me. Caller ID showed 020 3289 2504.

Today, I got a call from a woman who said her name was Angus Brown. She told me she was with BT and suggested that my slow internet was because my computer had bugs. She wanted me to switch it on, but I didn't since it seemed fishy. Also, she spoke with an Asian accent!

Today I got a call from someone named David claiming to be from BT. He told me there had been some hacking attempts on my computer and said they had to disconnect my Internet for about 3 or 4 days. He kept pressing me to switch my computer on, which seemed odd. I could tell he had an Asian accent and there was quite a bit of noise behind him. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a call like this from him. I declined to follow his instructions and asked for a proper contact number, which he eventually gave me. Interestingly, he never used my actual name and just kept calling me ‘madam’.
