Got a voicemail from some robotic voice saying they was Susan Wilson from HMRC and that I owed money. They warned if I didn’t get back to them they’d take “action”. Obviously I’ve blocked the number now. I’m on the TPS list, so no idea how they’re getting through, plus the call came from a London number. You’d think the government might step in to stop this, but I guess they’re still tied up with Brexit stuff.

I’m employed at a care home and one of the people living here got a phone call from this number which really upset her. They claimed she owed nearly £5000, and when she got so upset she struggled to talk, they said they’d review her account and ring her again. This behaviour is just awful. A few months back I got a very similar ring but from another number. Despite all the scary threats about being arrested, thankfully nothing came of it. It’s clearly a total con, done by some of the worst types you can imagine. Most of them struggle to even speak proper English, it’s a joke. If these muppets were really working for HMRC, then we’re all in trouble. What really gets me is thinking about how they might be going after older or more vulnerable people. Seriously, steer clear of these lot!

Got a call earlier saying I owed over £3,000 in tax and if I didn't pay up, I'd face legal trouble. The people on the line said their names were Jeffrey Harvey and Officer Sarah Wilson. I didn’t give them any info and made sure to report it to both Action Fraud and HMRC.
