Spotted a £2.99 charge on my VODAFONE bill (yet again), so I gave them a ring. They told me they’d cancel it but I reckon they just said that to end the call quickly. I’m going to cancel the direct debit for my phone now and see if that pushes them to fix it. They even threatened to mess with my credit score - I’m 71, honestly couldn’t care less. Vodafone seriously need to sort their act out.

I'm with Vodafone too and have been getting these MobPair texts for ages but just ignored them thinking it's dodgy. Turns out, they’ve taken £2.99 from me five times! I got in touch with Vodafone and they kinda blamed me for clicking random links online. They told me to reach out to the PSA, who said they've blocked those premium numbers now. Asked Vodafone about getting my money back, but all they did was tell me again to speak to the PSA, didn’t say anything about a refund.

Yesterday I got the very same message on my Vodafone number and they’ve now blocked my account, so fingers crossed that sorts it out. The number that sent it was 02032890416.

Got a dodgy text on my pay as you go mobile the other day. I rang Vodaphone straight away, and they sorted it out by giving me a refund for the money that got ripped off. They also made sure to block any premium rate numbers going forward.

This number called both me and my daughter's phone. I contacted Vodafone and they were really quick to help, they looked into it immediately and blocked the calls and texts on both devices. Fortunately, we didn't end up with any extra fees on our bills.

Im with Vodafone too and recently started getting messages saying I’d subscribed to some mob service charging me £2.99 every week, which I definitely havent! So far I havent seen any extra £11.93 added to my bill because of it. I tried sorting it through Vodafone’s live chat but got no reply at all. This seems to be hitting Vodafone users only, so I’m planning to push this further. I even pay an extra £1 a month specifically so my phone’s protected against these scams, so I’m really curious how I ended up caught in this mess. They’ve got some explaining to do.

Somehow, there are five separate £2.99 charges on my Vodafone account from a company I've never heard of. I've not downloaded any new apps on my tablet that could explain how they got hold of my number. Thankfully, Vodafone sorted it out by refunding the money and blocking any further activity. Still puzzled about who these people are!

Quick update - Vodafone's blocking option didn't work at all, sending 'stop' texts got me nowhere, and the 020 number just never put me through to anyone. Meanwhile, they've gone ahead and added extra fees to my bill. I've already reported this to the Phone Paid Services Authority [#]psauthority[###][###] if anyone else wants to raise a complaint.

Just had a look at the comments and it’s all Vodafone, Vodafone, Vodafone everywhere. Seems like some folks have cracked it - they put in a batch of Vodafone numbers, say the cash’s for charity, and keep ripping off customers that way. Really puts Vodafone in a bad light. They’ve slapped a third party block on my account now, but honestly, it’s far too late for that. I’m done with them, especially after they tried to blame me, saying “maybe you accidentally clicked a dodgy link on some site.” Ridiculous.

I got a random text saying I’d signed up to something called MobPair and it would cost me £2.99 every week. Thing is, I never signed up for anything like that. The message said to reply “stop 89365” or ring 02032890416 to cancel. They’ve already taken money from my bank so to me, this feels like fraud. Vodafone haven’t been very helpful about it either. Anyone knows how I can get these dodgy charges stopped?

It's crazy how they manage to pull off this kind of scam without getting caught!

I got a message from 02032890416 too, and it seemed legit at first. At some point, I accidentally tapped a link on my phone and that’s when things started. I rang Vodafone straight away, and they told me to text STOP back to the 5-digit number and block payments made via phone requests. Luckily, no money was taken from me. One thing to watch out for though - if you want to donate to charities like “Children in Need”, you’ll have to undo that block again. Just keep an eye out, folks.

Got a message saying I’m signed up to MobPair for £2.99 per week and if I want to stop, I need to text STOP to 89365. It said I could get help from 02032890416. I didn’t reply at all. I checked with Vodafone and thankfully they hadn’t taken any money. They even helped me block these kinds of charges just to be safe.

Got a text from 02032890416 claiming to be MobPair, saying I’d signed up for a £2.99 weekly subscription and to opt out, I had to reply STOP. Thing is, I never replied but they still took £2.99 from my account! I ended up contacting Vodafone, who blocked the number and gave me a refund.

I texted STOP to 89365 thinking it would cancel something, but they still took £2.99 off me! I never agreed to any service and barely use that phone, hardly even go online with it. Feels like Vodafone could be involved in some sneaky way to drain money from inactive accounts. Watch out, it's dodgy!

Got a second FreeMsg on my phone saying I’d signed up for MobPair, even though I’ve blocked premium texts. Vodafone knew about it and sorted out the refund about a month ago. Seems like one of those scams where they charge you for premium texts, probably run by a firm in Rotterdam. Tried texting STOP but that does nothing, and the landline number they gave just rings out. Reported it to the Premium Services Authority (PSA) already.

I keep getting random texts from 02032890416 about something called mobpair. Does anyone know what this company is? Thankfully, they haven’t taken any money from me yet.

Cash has been taken straight from my wife's bank, it's a nightmare. We tried calling the number they gave, but no one picks up. Even texting STOP didn't stop the messages, they just kept coming back after a few days. We've reported it to Action Fraud already. Honestly, I just want these scoundrels caught and dealt with harshly.
