A woman called me with a strange accent, asking to speak to my husband. When I asked who she was, all I could make out was something like "returns" over and over. Felt fishy, so I just ended the call. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.

Got a call from some scammers looking for my hubby. I kept asking what it was about, but she just kept saying she’d already spoken to him. After a bit of going round in circles I just ended the call. Such a waste of time! These callers are probably from abroad, why do they keep getting away with this nonsense?

I got a call from someone named Jessica telling me I’d just won £146,000. She asked me to phone Canada, but I just kept her chatting for ages instead.

Got a call from someone named Jessica Smith, said she was from "remittance" or something similar, but her accent was so thick I couldn't make out exactly what she said. She kept asking for my dad but when I pushed her for more info, she was totally useless. Pretty sure it's one of those dodgy lottery scams. Stay well clear of these pests, they’re just nasty little con artists.

Got a call from some woman called Jessica claiming I’d won £146,000 on the El Gordo lottery, all because I’d apparently entered a free draw ages ago. Honestly, sounded more like a blag than anything exciting. I decided to humour her and mess about to kill time - bet she thought she’d hit the jackpot with me. The weird thing is, she knew my middle name, which I only ever use for rare situations, so now I’m left wondering how they got hold of my info. Definitely not ringing back those numbers: 02032890009 or 0016075275479.

Got a call from someone named Mark Johnson who claimed I’d won some sort of Canadian lottery. He mentioned working with a group called Lynch Associates who would sort out getting the winnings to me. I ended up sending them some cash but then realised it was dodgy and reported it to the local cops. If you get a call from this number, definitely ring Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

Really confusing call, someone claiming there was an overseas payment from my Barclays account and loads of cash taken out. They said they could fix it if I just shared my account details, nothing to stress about. I told them if they were really from Barclays, they’d already have my number, I’m not giving that over the phone. Then the line just went dead. Total scam!

I got a call from 0203 289 0009, some Asian bloke on the line. Honestly, I couldn’t catch what he was trying to say properly. Something about “Rimmington”? Feels like it might’ve been a scam related to international payments or summat. Told him just to send the details through the post instead.
