What a complete con! They rang up pretending to be from BT, insisting that we'd been misusing our internet connection and that they'd be disconnecting us. Typical scare tactics! They were after sensitive info to get into your bank account. We contacted BT right after, and they mentioned that these scammers sometimes masquerade as Microsoft as well. Best advice? Don’t share any details with them-just hang up and be done with it!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, telling me my internet was about to get cut off because of hackers. They said I'd be offline for three months if I didn't sort it out. I took down the number they gave me and said I'd ring back, but never did!

My mate gave me a ring after getting one of those dodgy calls claiming to be from BT, saying his internet was about to be cut off coz of some hacking issue. Thought it sounded fishy, so luckily he checked with me first before panicking. What’s odd though is he just signed up for another year of BT broadband to get that BT Sports deal - if those calls are real, then someone at BT must be leaking customer details, which would be proper shady!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a bloke calling himself Rocky, who claimed to be from BT. He had quite the fishy tale, insisting that my computer was under threat from hackers who apparently had a penchant for making mischief at the stroke of midnight! Quite the laugh, really! Then he went on about how, unless I complied with his demands, they would sever my internet connection. It’s amusing, isn’t it? I’m not even with BT! Complete nonsense if you ask me-pure scam artistry!

Honestly, what a cheeky bloke... he gave me that number and as soon as I got off the phone I looked it up online. Total con! He was going on about cutting off my internet licence if I didn’t follow his ‘advice’ because some so-called hackers were popping up on his screen. And wouldn’t you know it, he just happened to call ME today!
Watch out, it’s all rubbish!

In the last couple of weeks, I've had quite a few calls from someone claiming to be from BT. They keep telling me my internet is corrupted and that they’re going to cut it off. When I ask for proof, they give me a number and a name to ring back. Sounds just like what others have been saying about these calls.

This number rang me up saying my internet was going to be cut off as someone else was apparently using it. They wanted me to unlock my internet, but I told them I was tied up and couldn’t do it.

Got a ring from this number claiming my Internet would be cut off since apparently someone else was messing with it. They asked me to turn on my Internet, but there’s no way I fell for that!

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent purporting to be from BT, asserting that my broadband service was set to be terminated today. When I requested his contact number, he provided me with this one. The thing is, I’m not even a BT customer-I’m with a cable provider. Just a word of warning: don’t share any personal info with them!

Got a ring from what sounded like a busy call centre, maybe from India, with a woman who had a really strong foreign accent but an English name. She claimed she was with BT and warned my internet was about to get cut off today because of some errors coming from my device. She wanted to know if I had a laptop or PC and asked me to switch it on. I told her I was tied up and asked for her phone number to ring back later. The number she gave was the one listed here.

I got a call from someone saying they're from BT and that my broadband would be cut off today. I told them I'd ring BT myself to check. The person talking had an Indian accent and there was a lot of background noise like a busy call centre. Funny thing is, I actually have cable, so BT has nothing to do with my internet at all.
