What a complete con! They rang up pretending to be from BT, insisting that we'd been misusing our internet connection and that they'd be disconnecting us. Typical scare tactics! They were after sensitive info to get into your bank account. We contacted BT right after, and they mentioned that these scammers sometimes masquerade as Microsoft as well. Best advice? Don’t share any details with them-just hang up and be done with it!

I received a phone call claiming to be from BT, warning me that my internet was on the verge of being disconnected due to hacking issues. They mentioned that if I didn’t act quickly, I would be without internet for as long as three months! I noted down the number but decided against returning the call - it just didn’t seem worth my time!

I just received a call from one of my clients who was quite anxious about a recent phone call he had received. It was yet another one of those typical scams, claiming to be from BT and threatening to disconnect his internet due to some alleged hacking incident. Thankfully, he had the good judgement to reach out to me before taking any action. What’s particularly curious is that he had only just extended his BT broadband contract for another year to score the BT Sports deal. One can’t help but wonder if there’s any connection there-could it be that someone within BT is peddling customer information?

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a bloke calling himself Rocky, who claimed to be from BT. He had quite the fishy tale, insisting that my computer was under threat from hackers who apparently had a penchant for making mischief at the stroke of midnight! Quite the laugh, really! Then he went on about how, unless I complied with his demands, they would sever my internet connection. It’s amusing, isn’t it? I’m not even with BT! Complete nonsense if you ask me-pure scam artistry!

What a cheeky blighter! The moment he handed me that number, I straight away searched it online... what a load of nonsense! He had the audacity to claim that my internet license was on the verge of being cut off unless I complied with his so-called instructions, all because of some hackers he claimed were lurking on his end and, as fate would have it, he just happened to ring me today!
Beware, folks! Total rubbish!

It was I who made those calls to everyone. Wishing you a splendid day ahead!

I've received multiple calls over the last fortnight, quite in line with what others have mentioned. They claim to be from BT, stating that my internet is at risk of being cut off due to some alleged corruption. When asked for verification, they offer a phone number and a name to ring back. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

I received a rather alarming call from this number, claiming my Internet service was at risk of being cut off due to some unauthorised usage. They insisted I access my connection straight away. I had to decline, explaining that I didn’t have the time to deal with it at that moment.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent purporting to be from BT, asserting that my broadband service was set to be terminated today. When I requested his contact number, he provided me with this one. The thing is, I’m not even a BT customer-I’m with a cable provider. Just a word of warning: don’t share any personal info with them!

I received a rather loud call from a call centre - it sounded like it might be based in India. The lady on the other end had an English name but a distinctly foreign accent. She claimed to be representing BT and warned me that my internet would be cut off today because of some supposed issues my computer had been reporting to them. She inquired if I owned a laptop or PC and requested that I switch it on. I explained that I was occupied at the moment and asked for her number to return the call later. The number, however, turned out to be the same one listed above.

Received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from BT, stating that my broadband service is set to be disconnected today. I casually mentioned I'd ring them back. The voice on the other end was clearly from a bustling call centre in India. Just to clarify, I’m connected through CABLE, so this has absolutely nothing to do with BT!
