We've also received a call from this number, claiming to be from the "Windows Operating Systems Department" based in London. They told us that our firewall has been compromised. While they had a way of speaking that seemed quite credible, we couldn't shake off our scepticism. The moment we declined to engage further, the chap on the line, who sounded Indian, became rather irate. It leaves us wondering how on earth they obtained our phone number in the first place - very dodgy, if you ask me!

I recently experienced a rather unusual phone call myself. A gentleman named James Edwards, who had a noticeably strong Indian accent, asserted that he was affiliated with Windows Operating Systems and provided this number as evidence of his legitimacy. Strangely enough, he had my address and even mentioned a resident here by name. His explanation was that our firewall was reportedly transmitting faulty data to their servers. Yet, when I asked for my IP address, details about my Internet Service Provider, or even the make of my firewall, he was utterly stumped. It was rather suspicious, to say the least. I intend to lodge a formal complaint with Ofcom regarding this unsolicited communication.

Today, we received a call from an 'out of area' number, and it took us a whole hour to get off the line. The callers were rambling on about all sorts of viruses infesting our computer, and I can't shake the feeling that they weren’t actually from Microsoft, despite their claims. They even gave us a number to call back tomorrow, which I’ve now looked up and discovered this information! We'll definitely need to dig deeper into what these individuals might have tampered with on our laptop.
